I think the article is trying to make it sound like a new location but it's not. It's the same general vicinity of where they were searching in January. If you pull up a zip code map, you can see that Skyline Blvd borders North Plains. I sure hope they go back out today. You can tell they caught all the news agencies by surprise by how small the stories are today. No interviews with Mary Lindstrand.....nothing. Only a paragraph or so on each of the stations.

They did say they would finish up the searching at some point, from January's search. Maybe they hoped to do this without a lot of fanfare.

Alderwood Lake Reservoir Has ever been searched and the woods around it???

especially the woods going toward Dede other house??? (on NW Bishop Rd...)

This place has been bugging me from day one.... It is also called Dixie Mountain....
 
Another thread mentioned searching today. Is there any confirmation about this? TIA.
 
I cannot find anything yet that mentions searching today.

Deputy Keith Bybee says Saturday's relatively good weather was a main factor behind the search and the turnout for it; a couple of other recent efforts were cancelled due to snow and rain.

Multnomah County wouldn’t say what led to today’s search and would not comment on if they found anything.

Hi everyone,

If they keep searching some of these same areas wouldnt that mean they never did a COMPLETE search . Did they miss some areas? And why didnt they search these areas back in June and July and august and september etc etc?
 
Could it be that a stranger really did abduct Kyron and took him out of the area? He very well could (with the grace of god) be alive. Wouldnt that be wonderfull!!!!

LE said this in the last search too. The area's being searched now, are based on info they did not have back in Jun, Jul, Aug & Sep.

Yes, I believe they did not finish all 11 areas in January and the weather turned cold again preventing them from completing the search. IMO, they are finishing up where they left off. As another poster mentioned, they didn't have this information in June, July, August or September. I believe DY mentioned this is information they discovered around Thanksgiving timeframe.
 
Praying so hard for this. Hope they find something, anything that gets us closer to bringing that child home to his parents.
 
Praying Kyron is found soon! This case just breaks my heart and has since day 1. Justice needs to be served!
 
Our beloved Free provided me with a couple of reports from the field:

The SAR base is not on Skyline and Moreland today. It's on the corner of Pottratz Rd and Dixie Mt. I'll try and do a map but I stink at them.

She saw quite a bit of search tape and searchers on Otto Miller Road. I have a couple of addresses but can't get them to come up so we aren't sure which road they were on. Dixie Mt. turns into Otto Miller and snakes around to Dutch Canyon. They are way further out this time compared to January.

The path marked all the way to B, is where she saw some search crews and tape. Note, this is only one area she saw, I'm sure there are others.

Thank you loves2mom for the map, I had no idea that they were searching so far north. I wonder what information they got in Sept.(?) that led them to this area? Would cell phones work in this area??? Just following TH's timeline/driving backroads??? I notice some very beautiful houses, perhaps she knows some of these area, from looking??? Just grasping for a reason.

My heart goes out to LE & all those involved in the search(es), what an unbelievable, vast area with rugged areas etc. to be dealing with. They are all doing the best they can to bring Kyron home. I just wish someone would fess up :banghead:
