I wondered if He made Lisa send that text (or if HE sent it from her phone). The conversation/wording just doesnt sound 'natural' for a person in her position. IMO those are HIS words...he was the one doing the brainwashing (or manipulating at least).

That's what I was thinking as well - that person was helping Lisa - I'm of the opinion that those are not Lisa's words!.

"She said that Simon said that she would be nothing without him."

Ms Richmond said it was Ms Harnum's life dream to get permanent residency in Australia.

But Gittany had one of his friends handle her immigration papers and on the occasions she tried to leave him, he told her he could get her deported immediately.

"He told her that she would leave with nothing, not even her underwear," Ms Richmond said.

Gittany sent a text message to Ms Harnum on April 16, 2011, saying: "Who the f ... do you think you are walking around the house like you own it or coming and going without my permission?

"Again I waited for you to apologise for your disgusting comment but you walk around like a peacock with your hair out and too proud to apologise.

"You lied to me and promised you would listen to me all the time.

"Obviously you're still the proud person and nothing has changed!"

In a text message from Gittany to Ms Harnum's mother he wrote there was nothing he could do to save her and they "loved each other immensely".

"My life has also ended as she was my life," he wrote.

Magistrate Clare Farnan is expected to rule tomorrow whether to commit the case to trial.

"(A call came from Lisa's phone) and Simon said 'don't you ever f...ing come near Cecilia again, don't ever contact her'," Ms Richmond said.

She said the took the threat seriously as Gittany did know where she lived and she "subsequently moved house".

The court heard Ms Richmond received a text from Ms Harnum's phone the next day saying "you've ruined my life ... you brainwashed me Michelle. You should be ashamed of yourself".

"I had everything with Simon ... and now I'm out on the street with nothing," the message, sent barely 24 hours before her death, read.

The Crown allege Gittany penned the message.

You know things are quiet when you start looking at floorplans. (the one labelled 1502 is the place next door but is the same floor plan, it is just that this one has measurements. The balcony area is not THAT large (hence why I included the plan with measurements) and from the screenshot of the guy standing on the balcony (different apartment but I imagine the balconies would be consistent heights) you can see that unless he is a midget it would be a rather spectacular leap to clear that and not leave any fingerprints, especially with only a 3 metre run up (and 60 seconds to do it)

thanks, I did hear that apparently Simon uploaded the first (original) version and I was just wondering when that was (and to see what comments he wrote with it). I cant find it but there are now so many versions uploaded in the last few days it is unlikely i will find it.

hahaha - I was looking at apartments in The Hyde last night. The barriers are quite high in the ones I saw.

Mr Gittany's barrister, Robert Richter, QC, has previously told a Supreme Court bail hearing that Ms Harnum was a ''ballerina'', suggesting she could have leapt over the ledge, and subsequently to her death, ''quite easily''.

However, her family said while she took ''dancing lessons when she was younger, she was not a prima ballerina''. ''She just enjoyed the chance to dance and entertain, something she was passionate about from a young age,'' they said.

The crown told the court Mr Gittany had a "history of violent offences", including malicious wounding and assaulting police, for which he was sentenced to two years' periodic detention. A Sydney man accused of murdering his fiancée by throwing her from a balcony has posted online a series of home videos showing the couple sharing happy moments together, including his surprise proposal.

Simon Gittany has chosen a series of intimate occasions to share with the world one year after being charged with murdering Canadian citizen Lisa Harnum.

Footage of that night was posted to YouTube five months ago under Gittany's user name, along with four other home videos showing Ms Harnum.
