Ms Mancuso’s brother, Patrick, told the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court his sister had repeatedly said Mr Paulino would kill her if she left him.

“There was no doubt from the second it happened who did it. It was crystal clear. She knew that if she did leave him, consequences were going to happen,” he said...

The flight attendant, 49, was stabbed at least 16 times in the chest, abdomen and back, and suffered blunt force trauma to the head in the garage of her elderly parents’ Reservoir home in 2013...

Witnesses, including both sons, told the jury Paulino repeatedly stalked Ms Mancuso, insulted her and made nuisance phone calls in the lead-up to her death. Paulino tried to blacken her name, inviting his sons to watch a pornographic video on his phone, claiming it was their mother performing oral sex on a man. The jury heard Paulino also asked his two sons to take a DNA test because he didn’t trust his ex-wife.
