The more I think about this the sicker and madder it makes me. My own comment about Gabriel's DNA just brought to mind the fact that Gabriel will never know who he really is or where he came from. God forbid he should ever get sick and need a transplant or any other medical issue that would require biological matching. When he starts to date who knows if he might be dating an unknown cousin, aunt, or sister. College...possibly out of State and maybe even in AZ where he has biological family. When he marries...
AAAAGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH damit I loath the people that have done this to sweet innocent Gabriel.
 
I believe Tammi's daughter when she said that Tammi will continue to let out little bits of information to keep herself on TV. It has been proven by her actions. I hope she gets her just reward for all of this interference, with holding info, threatening Logan with his son, etc.. I so want her locked up !

Ok, I don't get it. IF they were ADOPTING a baby, why would it even come up in a conversation that 'they could keep baby Gabriel without anyone noticing.'

THAT makes NO sense.

Anyone here who's adopted a child,..................when you got your additon to the family, was the first thing you thought of was 'not to let anyone know about the child?'

I don't know what kind of game these people are playing, but it's NOT going to work. Their contribution to this saga is going to be uncovered by LE. IF it's something that is AGAINST THE LAW,................YOU will be going to jail..

This isn't a 60 min segment on tv where everything just fades to black. There are consequences to your actions.

Is anyone else noticing some characteristics of a Munchausens by Proxy mom in TS?

Maybe not MBP in a traditional sense, but in a way she is getting all of this attention(which she loves) from a situation that she most likely created and is trying to look like the hero.

A typical MPB scenario is when a mom suffocates baby, claims it stopped breathing, rushes baby to hosital, saves life, becomes a hero!! Of course there are never any witnesses to this life threating episode!!

In TS case, TS was just trying to adopt and save Baby Gabriel from a so called abusive father, doesn't happen, Elizabeth flees, won't talk initially, now only talking to Mother Theresa humantarian of the year Tammi Smith!!!

I am not sure that Ts planned on everything going this far, but she sure isn't having a big problem adjusting to all of this new attention. Why would she keep allowing unknown people to friend her on FB?

When EJ was picked up and gave that early interview to TS, she told a different story about the couple. Why change stories about the hand off, except she's come up with a better story now, a more feel-good story? In fact, her stories only get nicer: "I killed him." "I handed him to an unknown couple in a park." "I placed him with a lovely couple who brought a brand-new car seat to my hotel room."

I think EJ has only said she killed him and that she handed him to a couple in the park, right? TPS has said all the other nonsense from her "interviews" with EJ?

If I remember correctly momtective - the carseat was found in the hotel room. LE was concerned about the finding of the carseat and Gabriel's clothes - again iirc.

So... am I to understand that TPS has coordinated another interview with EJ and the media that is to take place today?

Gabriel's car seat was found in EJ's car left at the hotel. The couple who took the baby had to have their own...coincidentally the same color as the one TS had purchased herself.

PHOENIX - A blog entry from early January is sparking some interest in the case of a missing Arizona infant.

Eight-month-old Gabriel was last seen on December 26 in San Antonio, Texas.

Investigators say his mother, 23-year-old Elizabeth Johnson, drove there from her home in Tempe, stayed about a week, then took a bus to Florida without Gabriel.

In reply to a web post on BeckyHiggins.com, blogger "Beth" wrote, "I live in WI, but am currently in San Antonio, TX. My husband and I are adopting a handsome baby boy that was placed into our care on January 1. I've decided to make my project life about Baby Gabriel. Even though I won't be home when my project arrives I am clicking away taking his photo here in San Antonio."

The entry is timestamped on January 4th. There's no contact info listed for Beth.

I haven't caught up yet (& fear I never will b/c I keep having to go to work - darn work!) but I do remember at least two posts from a 'friend' of Tammy's early on and then I don't think that person posted again.

It would take me forever to find them as I don't even remember which thread. That person is probably reading still and/or Tammy/others.

sadly, if this ends the way I think it will, 2 children will be hurt. Poor Gabriel, and little H. Gabriel has a chance to make it out "unscathed" if found soon, and alive. Little H is 4 right? so she could very well remember losing her "mommy". Much as I despise TS, she is the world to H. so sad.:tsktsk::frown:

Chilling new details paint a picture of a family in hiding, keeping 8-month-old Gabriel Johnson out of the public's eye. It was new information coming from Elizabeth Johnson. Tammi Smith went to visit Elizabeth in Estrella Jail Wednesday.

Smith said, "I asked her questions about what these people looked like."

Smith said Elizabeth gladly described the couple she claims she gave Gabriel to in a San Antonio park. Johnson said the woman is between 5'1" and 5'3" and weighs somewhere between 110 and 125 pounds. Johnson told Smith the man was tall, a bigger guy with dark short hair. She said the couple is Caucasian, in their mid-30s and lives in San Antonio.

Smith said Johnson told her she's shared all this info with the FBI, after she found out about how much jail time she might face.

"She does want the baby to come back now, now because she wants to get out of jail, " Smith said.

But from what Smith said she heard Wednesday, that might not be an option.

Elizabeth Johnson, the Arizona mother jailed after she disappeared with her about-to-be-adopted infant son, confirmed today in a brief jailhouse interview that 8-month-old Gabriel Johnson is alive.

The Smiths have stuck by Johnson, but recently told ABC News that they are frustrated and want Johnson to tell police what she did with the baby. Tammi Smith told Johnson in jail that she and her husband have been blamed for Gabriel's disappearance.

"I am so, so sorry about that," Johnson replied. But still, no word on where Gabriel is.

Mom Describes Mystery Couple Who Supposedly Have Her Baby
Johnson said the couple is Caucasian, in their 30s. The man is tall with short black hair, and the woman is about 5 feet, 3 inches tall and has short black hair.

Johnson said the couple brought their own car seat and that they said they could keep baby Gabriel without anyone noticing.

Johnson also told ABC News that her time in jail has not been that bad. She has been able to see her lawyer every day and gets to spend time outside during her recreation hour.

FBI questions Texas group in missing kid case

The nationwide search for a missing 8-month-old Tempe boy has led FBI agents to question employees of a San Antonio organization that oversees the licensing of colon-cleansing practitioners.

The International Association of Colon Hydrotherapists certified Tammi Smith of Scottsdale, who was named a person of interest in the search for Gabriel Johnson.

"It's a long shot, but we're questioning people there to see if there is a connection," said Kim Hale, commander of investigations for the Tempe Police Department. "Our focus continues to be in San Antonio where the child was last seen."

"I have nothing to say about that," Smith said. "That's retarded. I've never been to the office in San Antonio. I've talked to people there and called them. Nobody from the FBI has called us, yet. This whole thing is ridiculous. I have begged and begged for them to ask us questions - nobody will ask us questions, nobody will come to our home."

Smith owns Healing Waters in Sun City West and in Glendale, according to her company's Web site. Her husband, Jack Smith, also was named a person of interest in the case.

Tammi Smith, of Scottsdale, met with Elizabeth Johnson whose son Gabriel is still missing after she left the Valley with him in late December.

Smith says Johnson left the toddler with an unknown couple in San Antonio, Texas the day after Christmas.

She told reporters after the meeting that "according to Elizabeth, these people are going to try to hide this baby because they believe that in a few years nobody will notice who this baby is."

Smith went on to say that Elizabeth told her the couple came to Elizabeth's hotel room in Texas with a new car seat, placed Gabriel in the car seat and abruptly left.

"She did definitely describe the people and what they look like, they're definitely in San Antonio, she (Elizabeth) did sign paperwork, but they did not notarize it or anything like that," said Smith.

According to Smith, Elizabeth also told her during the nearly 45-minute jail house visit that the couple did not "buy" Gabriel and the man and woman were both white in their 30s.

Hotel Clerk Says Elizabeth Johnson Used Different Name

As investigators open a missing persons case for Gabriel Johnson in San Antonio, we are learning more about mother Elizabeth Johnson’s possible movements during her time in San Antonio from a hotel clerk who checked Johnson into one of the hotels. The clerk, who wishes to remain anonymous, says Johnson checked in under a different name and believes Johnson had a Texas ID.

Who is Craig Cherry?
Police reportedly recently spoke to Cherry, who told them he has never met Johnson, and is actually Tammi Smith’s first cousin! Police say that new detail surprised them and was information that probably would have been helpful to them in the very beginning. Cops say in all the interviews with Tammi Smith, she never mentioned she was related to Cherry.

Tammi Smith drove Johnson to court to file the paternity request and reportedly even made 3 copies of the paperwork that clearly labeled Craig Cherry as the possible father but never noticed it.

Johnson and Gabriel's biological father, Logan McQueary, had been in an ugly custody battle. McQueary is listed on the birth certificate, but when Johnson filed court papers, she indicated another man could also be the father. That man is Craig Cherry.

In a phone interview with CBS5, Cherry said he was Smith's first cousin and that the two are very close. Cherry also reiterated that he had never met Johnson and that he could only speculate as to how she learned his name, in order to use it on court documents.

"I remember the conversation between me and (Elizabeth). We were laughing about it and I just commented on how Logan (McQueary) and my cousin (Craig Cherry) have the same record about DUI's and stuff and we were making a funny joke about that."

But in the same call, Tammi Smith admitted she drove Johnson to court to file the paternity request. She even made three copies of the paperwork that clearly labeled her cousin, Craig Cherry, as the possible father of the boy she wanted to adopt.

Smith says she would have been forthcoming with investigators, but she doesn't remember them asking her about Craig Cherry.

Tempe police confirmed late Tuesday night that they had investigators in San Antonio, the last place baby Gabriel was seen the day after Christmas, searching for clues.

One of our adopted children was "a legal risk" when he was placed with us and we were told by the State not an agency to keep the baby inside and out of public view until rights had been terminated. Freaked me out at first until I learned that the grandmother had threatened CPS that she was filing for custody and she would kidnap the baby if she had to.
Her DD BTW was of age and made an adoption plan on her own so I wasn't worried that it was birth mom wanting the baby back...it was her crazy mother.

It was a high chair that was found in the hotel room.

At the end of NG last night TPS said that she had urged EJ to have her lawyer give a press conference and EJ agreed.

I second this post by Steadfast; I agree with Momt but I cannot see how in a week EJ on her own could have found this particular couple from Craigslist prescreened to meet her in SA -- I think she had help BEFORE she went to SA, and knew enough that a real couple who wanted a baby (not some craigslist imposter) asked whomever arranged this to meet her in SA -- SA was not random, it was chosen for some reason -either a halfway point, or because of some other convenience
