well i mentioned in another post that he thought he could get away with it due to his previous assault on the 14 year old. he was laughing at the law when he conned them into paroling him, and he laughed at the law for 18 years while he held jaycee prisoner. besides being a sex predator he's also a egotistical jackass.......thinks he cant be stopped

Exactly. If police officer didn't show up when he did, who knows what Garrido would have done.
I don't know if Garrido told her his name, but he has told her some things about himself, according to her, so would he then think she knew too much? It's not like he could have kept her for a long time in that storage locker. She says he begged her not to tell on him after that police officer showed up, so clearly he did not want to go to prison.

Wasn't one of the issues with his casino visit the fact that at the time he was supposedly in a halfway house? Did he cross stateline with or without permission?
