Millard approached Schlatman to work for him personally around 2010. He started working weekends at first, then Millard asked him to stop working at National and work for him full time. He eventually went for it.
by Adam Carter 10:42 AM

Millard wanted to learn how to do more mechanic work on cars, he says. Schlatman would work on vehicles at the MillardAir hangar, when it was still at Pearson airport. "In all the time that you worked for MillardAir, did you ever work on airplanes?" Fraser asks. "No I did not," Schlatman says.
by Adam Carter 10:44 AM

The next witness is Shane Schlatman, who worked for Millard. His father in law, Arthur Jennings, already testified to seeing Bosma's truck inside the MillardAir hangar.

He says they talked each day, either in person, by phone or text.
by Adam Carter 10:49 AM

Schlatman says he continued working for MillardAir after Millard was arrested -- up until April 2015. That's when the hangar was sold.
by Adam Carter 10:50 AM

After Millard was arrested, Schlatman's contact person was Madeleine Burns, Millard's mother. "Basically, I was a secretary for the hangar, pretty much."
by Adam Carter 10:50 AM

Planes were going in and out then, Schlatman says, business that Burns had contracted. "They just basically rented the space."
