Seriously? I just read the whole thread, which started in 2017 expecting to read on page 10 here that this viper woman and her perv lover were in prison, hopefully for life. It's been 4+ flipping years!

Have they at least been in jail, or out on bond with a nice ankle bracelet?

Will follow this trial.

(I hope the daughter is alright, she is 20 or 21 now right? Horrific that her own murderous mother made her find her father like that)

Well - it IS California - plus the virus going around has slowed all the courts. And no - they are both sitting in jail. I believe they both have no bond - but I don't have that in my notes.
If anyone can find out "what" their bonds are - it would be appreciated! :)

Thanks. Yes, of course...Covid has delayed many trials.
Reading about this for the first time had me so angry, hence my outburst.
Good to know they're in jail.

I did not notice that the trial was moved from October, 2022 to February of 2023... :rolleyes:

Anyone know "where" I can find motions for this case? All I can access are the hearing dates.

Can’t find anything at all pertaining to the latest change in trial date, other than noticing there’s yet another pretrial conference scheduled for Aug 19, 2022.

The date has been pushed forward so often it seems even media reporting has fizzled out.

This was the blurb regarding the prior Oct 22 trial date. Maybe the rational for the new Feb 23 date is some of the same?

Sources said delays have arisen for the usual reasons: COVID, COVID and the defence team is looking at the forensics again.

“They haven’t elaborated much but there’s some issues with the jail being shut down and quarantined so they [the accused] weren’t able to prepare for the trial,” a source said.

“Also, there’s apparently some discrepancies over the DNA and the defence team needs more time to do their own testing on the DNA found in various areas of the crime scene.”

And because it’s an eight-week trial, the next available large time slot for Superior Court Judge Ronald Coen is October.

Another legal quote at play — not just for the Sementillis, but also for the accused — is “justice delayed is justice denied”…..”
