You could forgive the Sementilli family for being bitter about the glacial pace of justice in southern California.

Famed Toronto hairstylist Fabio Sementilli was stabbed to death on the patio of his Los Angeles home in the middle of a sunny winter afternoon while he enjoyed a cigar.

That was Jan. 23, 2017.

More than six and a half years now. A long time.

The first-degree murder trial of Crescentini and her convicted sex offender beau has been delayed yet again. It had been slated to kick off in June and now has been pushed back to the end of September.

That marks the eighth time the trial has been delayed. It had been slated to go, ironically, on Valentine’s Day.

Sources have said that the defence is dragging its heels, but the LA County DA’s Office has imploded since the election of uber-woke prosecutor George Gascon. So it’s possible that could also be the cause.

Gascon rode the tidal wave of “progressive” prosecutors now inhabiting district attorney offices across America whose streets have now turned into rivers of blood punctuated by out-of-control lawlessness. Some major American retail chains no longer do business in San Francisco for this reason.

The Toronto Sun has exclusively learned that the man accused of stabbing to death famed Toronto hair stylist Fabio Sementilli on the patio of his Los Angeles home in 2017 is expected to plead guilty Friday in Los Angeles.

Convicted sex offender Robert Louis Baker, 59, will plead to all charges for his role in what cops suspect was a targeted killing that involved a toxic brew of sex and money.

Sources told the Sun that Baker agreed last week to plead guilty after six years in the L.A. County Jail. He will cop to his role in the murder in a California courtroom at 8:30 a.m. PST.
 
But the court site has this for both of them - maybe they mean NEXT Friday... ??

Robert Baker, 61, admitted that he killed celebrity hairdresser Fabio Sementilli on Jan. 23, 2017, leaving him in a pool of blood in what was initially thought to be a home-invasion robbery gone wrong. He was immediately sentenced to life without parole by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Ronald Coen after a steady stream of Sementilli’s loved ones told the court how the mogul’s slaying did irreparable damage to their family.

A man has pleaded no contest in the 2017 killing of a renowned Woodland Hills hairdresser and beauty company executive.

''Sementelli's loved ones spoke and shared their grief at the courthouse.

"We miss him so much, I think about him every damn day," said Gessica Sementilli, the victim's daughter.

"For the last 6 years, my family has suffered a tremendously because two people found in their hearts the capacity to brutally murder someone we loved dearly," said Luigi Sementelli, the victim's son.

Baker was arrested and charged with the murder in June 2017. The victim's wife, Monica Sonia Sementilli, was also arrested and investigators said she and Baker were having an affair.

Baker sat and listened to his victim's loved ones as they petitioned the judge to give him the maximum, which he did.

"I realize that that will not mend the hearts of anyone. I am sorry, we are done," said Judge Ronald S. Coen.''

''Monica Sementilli's trial is scheduled to begin in September.''
 
Thanks all! Now wondering if she is going for a plea deal - since he has now plead guilty. I do not see anything about a plea for Baker - wondering if he will testify against Monica?

That’s what I think, that she’ll go for a plea deal now rather than risk having him testify against her. I don’t expect juries would look too kindly towards an adulteress wife looking to benefit from life insurance deliberately staging her husband’s murder for his daughter to come upon. It would seem she instigated the violent and malicious plan and the boyfriend just went along with it.

For the family’s sake I’m glad it appears this horrible tragedy is finally moving toward resolution, it’s taken so long. JMO
