The man accused of abducting a 3-year-old Yreka girl has been taken into custody, but the whereabouts of the girl are unclear.

Kody Lee Kaplon has been previously charged in Siskiyou County for petty theft, driving without a valid license, drunken driving and driving on a suspended license, electronic superior court records show.

Kody Lee Kaplon was arrested this afternoon near his hometown of Hornbrook, California Highway Patrol spokesman Rick Landrum said.
Authorities are still searching for the car, Landrum said.

Landrum declined to say whether the girl had been found, and he referred questions about the girl to Yreka police.

Yreka police didn’t immediately return messages left at their office.

A girl wanted in a statewide Amber Alert was found walking along a service road without clothes, Yreka police and KNVN-TV said Monday.

A suspect in the disappearance is in custody, police said.

The Amber Alert was declared early in the day for a 3-year-old girl who was allegedly taken during a burglary in Yreka. Authorities said she was abducted at about 4:30 a.m. Monday.

It's unknown at this time exactly where the girl was found. Her condition is unknown.

Thanks you guys for keeping this current! I am local and hadn't even heard she had been found until I looked here. I'm hoping when they say she was found wearing NO CLOTHES, it just means when he snatched her she was wearing a tie dye t-shirt while sleeping. I don't know, I can only hope. But they did find her walking along a service road and took her to the hospital to be checked over.
 
Local tv news report that F was founding walking along a road. She was unclothed.
The report says no information is being released about her physical condition.
She was located NW of Yreka, Ca.
Yreka, Ca is surrounded by the Siskiyou Nat'l Forest.

They state Kody K called the Amber hotline and turned himself in, saying he did not
abduct F.

And former President Clinton said he did NOT inhale and he did NOT have sex with that woman.:furious: But thank you for the links to those other news bits. The locals that grew up and went to school with him here say he was and is bad news. I'm pretty sure that's how little F feels about now.

:( She was found nude, so I guess it shouldn't be shocking that she was sexually assaulted. I just hate hearing it. I wonder why they won't let her parents see her? Are they being charged with neglect? Either way, she needs her parents right now. Unless there is something bigger going on.
 
I do not know all the facts. But, I think something bigger is going on. CPS involved. F in a rape crisis clinic and her parents denied access.

It is well known in this area, that Yreka, Ca and surrounding area has a high number of drug/meth users, as do many areas in the U.S.

I'm so glad she was found alive, and I pray that she makes a full recovery and has a bright and happy childhood ahead of her.
