No picture of course. Wishful thinking on my part. I will be interested in the ID of this person.
 
The body was "badly decomposed" when found according to some of the first articles so a sketch may be out of the question.

Channel 3 says "Placer County deputies said their investigation into the death of a woman whose body was found in Tahoe Vista last week is turning into a murder probe.

Sheriff's Lt. John Savage said the case was being treated as a homicide because the victim appears to have suffered blunt force trauma by an unknown source."
 
I hate to be cynical but if the police department can not give a more hellpful description how do they think they will find out who Jane Doe is? Hair color ?race? Age? I appologize if I missed this info somewhere.
 
The woman was between 5-feet 10-inches and 6-feet tall, with dark hair falling just below her shoulders. She was wearing Tahari blue jeans and gold hoop earrings. She suffered from scoliosis, or curvature of the spine.

Still no age or weight yet tho. Or race. Race would be helpful. My guess is, because of the clothing description, they are hoping someone will remember seeing her somewhere - like a casino or on the beach or at a motel. Tahoe Vista, Tahoe City and Kings Beach are big foot traffic areas so she could have been meandering through town.

I still think it's possible they are witholding information purposefully.
 
Badly decomposed could mean that they don't yet know her weight or race, at least until testing is complete. Or like Carrie said, they're withholding for some reason.

Sheriff's detectives served a search warrant Friday at an apartment near the National Avenue and Highway 28 Tahoe Vista location where the decomposed body was discovered by a passerby May 21.

By the way, just so you all know: If you ever visit Lake Tahoe (the North Shore area), DO NOT get a motel on North Lake Blvd! There are lots of 'em, they are fairly cheap, and most are right on the lake so it is very tempting but DON'T DO IT. Trust me.

One of the missing people is Victoria Ann Rider. They are originally from the UK. I was searching for a picture of her to see if she could be a match to the woman found. I found this Victoria Rider from Nottingham, but it may not be her:

There is a HUGE hispanic population in the Kings Beach/Tahoe City/Tahoe Vista area and it is very common for teenage girls to date older men (culture).
