Authorities Want To Talk To The Woman's Roomate And Daughter Who May Be In Mexico

The body of a woman found last week near Lake Tahoe has been identified as Victoria Ann Rider, 37, of Great Britain.

Rider, who also went by the surnames of Adams and Proctor was identified through dental records and fingerprints after her severely decomposed body was found on Monday, May 21, 2007 near National Avenue and Highway 28, say Placer County Deputies.

I am unbelieveably saddened with this it seems to becoming more frequent that teens are taking parents lives. Prayers for this poor woman, and her family.

Remains found two weeks ago in the Tahoe Vista area have been identified as a British woman who is believed to have been missing for months.


So, it seems she had been missing since March, too.
I wonder when anyone last saw her. Did she work??

I found this part interesting:
"She had two sons and a daughter, Naomi Riley, with one man. Then Rider married and had two more children — a 10-year-old son and a daughter of unknown age — before divorcing and remarrying a man who has since died.

Detectives declined to reveal why just Rider and Riley were in North Tahoe, separated from other family members, or where they had previously lived.

“Most of their history is in the [United Kingdom],” is all Placer County Sheriff’s Detective Don Murchison would say."

Yes, I wish they would release more information about their "history" in the UK. The fact that she was allowing the adult boyfriend of the teenage daughter to live with them makes me wonder if there is a history of sexual abuse within the family, or physical abuse/domestic violence, maybe even drugs? And Tahoe isn't a place someone just ends up - I wonder what connections they had to the area before moving here, and how the last husband died...




....I watch too many crime shows.
