I see that he has been found guilty on all counts today and that further proceedings are scheduled tomorrow, i wonder if that is when he will be sentenced.
Guilty on all counts! Wonderful. It took almost five years which was my original guess (5-7 years).
In California there is a separate hearing if the state is asking for the death penalty. It's called the Penalty phase of the trial. This is a "special circumstances" case which would qualify under the death penalty laws (multiple murders). Perhaps today's hearing is to deal with setting the date for this hearing to begin. The same jury will consider it.
