So, wonder what was in the suspicious package??? Was he going to eliminate fiance as well? I am making an assumption that the package was left at their condo from the way the article reads. IMO

TORONTO (AP) - A man once dubbed the Fake Beard Bandit and due to be married in three weeks was charged Friday in a bloody crossbow attack that left three people dead.
Wearing white coveralls and fumbling with his fingers, Brett Ryan, 35, of Toronto, was charged with three counts of first-degree murder during a brief court appearance.

He was remanded in custody until Sept. 2
Details of the proceedings, including the names of the victims, cannot be reported due to a publication ban.
Police have released few details about the killings or what might have motivated them.

Social media profiles show the accused was engaged to a registered physiotherapist. They were to be married in Hamilton on Sept. 16.

The couple, according to their registry page, met three years ago on a blind date in downtown Toronto.

That photo reminds me of Millard! Maybe a suitable cell mate. I don't think you get charged with first degree for a crime of passion. Why don't they post that pic of him play choking his gf with his dad in the background...haha?

Reminded me of Millard too, not only that, sorry to say, after learning the wedding was to take place in Hamilton, was also reminded of the Audrey Gleave case.
Where is the pic of the "joking choking"?

This guy totally reminds me of Millard. Satchel bag, his brown hair and blue eyes, thrill-seeking behaviour (robbing banks), living in expensive downtown condo. Ugh.

Did the man who ran to the neighbours to get help live? Even though there is a "pub ban" we all know the victims are his family and the dead brothers and mother have been named.

Two men and a woman were killed and a fourth person was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after someone discharged a crossbow near the corner of Lawndale and Argo roads, northwest of Kingston and Markham roads, shortly before 1 p.m.

Police said that the person who called 911 to report the incident is one of the deceased.

Imagine the state of the brother who survived! He has to bury his mother and two brothers, and face his attempted murdering brother in court?
 
I read an article yesterday that a source claims that Brett blamed his mother for the death of his father from a botched operation. I will try and find to link it.
 
It’s believed the 35-year-old Ryan was motivated by his anger at the woman after his father died of complications from surgery in April 2015, according to sources. The father’s neighbours said he had a perforated ulcer.


Sources also told the Sun that Ryan allegedly attempted to choke a man who wanted to phone police after discovering the carnage. A fourth victim who suffered minor injuries was taken to hospital.
