random note:

did you know that you can insert a smilie into your post if you know the words that it is?

for example, if you go to the smilie box you will see text next to the smilie:

:cheer: you will see that smilie says cheer so if you want to put the cheerleader in your post you just put : and : on either side of the word cheer:

:cheer:

At 12:29 p.m. on Easter Sunday in 2009, Detective Constable Sean Kelly got a tip: a woman named Terri owned a puffy white jacket and walked with a gait similar to that of a person seen leading eight-year-old Victoria (Tori) Stafford away in a surveillance video, a London court heard Thursday.

It wasn’t much to go on, but the Woodstock police officer immediately followed it up. As the tipster – Tori’s mother, Tara McDonald – described the location of Terri’s house, he drew up a map and figured out the address. From there, he learned the woman’s full name: Terri-Lynn McClintic. A check of police database CPIC revealed Ms. McClintic had an outstanding warrant for breaching a court order. Det. Const. Kelly went to her home, told her he wanted to talk about Tori and arrested her on the warrant.

During his interrogation, he told the jury, he coaxed a key detail out of Ms. McClintic: she had recently cut off her long, dark hair, which was similar to that of the woman in the video. The officer retrieved the locks from a garbage can in her bedroom

It has been reported that two (2) people reported to LE that the person was TLM.

If TM testified yesterday that "he" said it was TLM, and then she phoned LE, who is "he"? (and why didn't "he" phone LE?)

Would it be safe to assume that the 2nd person to phone LE was TLM's neighbour? When did the neighbour call?

I don't know if the neighbour's alerted LE but they were sleuths and they were onto her!

Craig Racine and another of McClintic's neighbours, Jessica McDonald, became suspicious when — out of the blue — McClintic volunteered that the woman in the video sort of looked like her.

McClintic had also cut her hair, telling them that it was because bubble gum had got caught in it.

The neighbours turned into amateur sleuths, trying to find excuses to go over to the McClintics' house to snoop around.

One day, Racine went over to use their laundry machine. Police canvassing the neighbourhood knocked on the door, sending Terri-Lynne fleeing to the bathroom. She refused to come out.

So, TLM did have gum in her hair! This was the reason she gave the neighbours for cutting her hair. I think most of us thought it was a lie. How on earth does an adult get gum in her hair to the extent that the hair has to be cut? Did she do it on purpose? Was this part of the "script" we heard about, where she planned on how to avoid detection? Hmm.

I've a feeling that she put it there herself to give her an alibi as to why she cut it. What's really strange to me is that they had a script in case police questioned them, and that they would feel the need to get rid of stuff and dye the coat, etc. If they were that disorganized, why the scripts and the subterfuge?

JMO two possibilities, planned in advance, or so stoned she passed out and gum fell out and ended up tangled in hair

Could it have been JG? It has now been confirmed that he had been to TLM's house on more than one occasion and was likely familiar with her. It doesn't surprise me that, if this was the case, it would be Tara to make the call and not JG. Just a guess here, though.

Would it be safe to assume that the 2nd person to phone LE was TLM's neighbour? When did the neighbour call?

That would be a good assumption. According to this, it was a week after Tori was missing. If this is accurate (and who's to say it isn't off by a couple of days?), TLM was already in jail by then.

"they had quietly called in a tip to a police hotline, a week after Tori vanished"

Police go back to McClintic's house and found hair w gum in it in the bathroom garbage

.

As far as why Tara did not admit at first about her or her boyfriends drug use is pretty obvious, I think the only connection to it is how she first came into connect with any of TLMs relatives or her for that matter. IMO I think MR knew TLM knew Tara, her habits and that she had a little girl which fit into his pre meditated plan. No child is going to go with someone they don't know at all, TLM could have told her her mother knows her mother etc....and MR knew this. He used her. We can now see he drove around the school earlier in the morning, he had a plan. TLM wasn't there in the car with him prior to the abduction...IMO another nail in the coffin

According to Tara's testimony yesterday, Tori may have known about the interest in breeding their dog. This would have given TLM opportunity to perhaps say that the puppies were being born, if they hurry she can see them. The parent they passed noted that they seemed to be "hurrying with a purpose". Just conjecture of course. IMO a child is going to want to see puppies, especially if she is led to believe that her own beloved little dog is the dad.
I suppose we will find out more on Tuesday when TLM takes the stand. It will be interesting to get some answers to the many questions many of us here at WS have had throughout this tragedy.
