There is no way that no matter what happened to MP she would have still been wearing those flip flops when she was killed. They would have been the first things to go in any kind of a struggle. So they've likely been disposed of with her. Or separately because they tend to float if water is involved. Unless everything is concealed or wrapped into some kind of package or container.

I really wish in these missing person cases that more attention would be paid to the footwear, especially loose sandals. Colour, size, make if possible. During a struggle, a perp might not notice things like flip flops coming off. I'm sure we can all think of an instance where we've come across just one flip flop laying around, usually in a beach setting. Never think anything of it. Maybe we should? :waitasec:

Good point! Recently, one jogging shoe was found belonging to the missing math teacher in Montana...and this is a major clue in her case!

And I think it was a shoe that helped in the case of the young girl who was raped, killed and burned in one of the cases around here not long ago. Can't think of the name off hand.

Another thing I noticed on that NaMus missing report was that MP had artificial nails. Another thing you'd think might break off during a struggle. Can anyone recall how extensive the search was at DSJr's? I don't think it was CSI type searched was it? Why not?

I wanted to address a few things, so thought I'd go through them point by point.

• First, thanks to everyone who was trying to help me find a news item about a planned search in the area where the Hummer was found. I felt as if I had heard that LE was actually going to begin searching that area soon, not the family or volunteers. But now I think I must have imagined or dreamed it.
  
• Seems we still don't have confirmation that the 4:26 "Waterford" text ping took place from Orange/Sand Lake. It may very well be that that was indeed the location for the text in question, but, as Lark2 pointed out, it could as well have been the location of another ping, and not the Waterford ping. I do appreciate those of you who were attempting to find the links confirming that question.
  
  [*]I had not heard before that Michelle's shoes were found in the Hummer. I think nothing, or almost nothing, has been revealed about what LE found in the vehicle, except Michelle's handbag. So if you read about the shoes being found there, we need a link to an article!

Interesting, because as you may recall, DS Jr. would often enough leave Michelle stranded outside the vehicle with no shoes and take off. Her friend Angela Launer said:

Just quoting myself to update this. Found the answer to my question above on the site Sparky linked: LKA means "Last Known Alive." So I repeat my point in the quotation above: according to the info Sparky provided from the Namus Missing Person's Database, Michelle was last seen alive at 3 PM. This is new information, I believe. It's only 18 minutes before the Hummer arrives at DS II's condo, and it indicates that either she picked up the twins then, or did something else before going to drop off the twins and was positively identified at that time--perhaps even by a video camera.

And given that Ironhorse feels he saw her shortly before that time, it may be that the twins daycare was in the area of 408 and Alafaya, or that she went to that area to take care of a quick task (e.g. run in to a store, gas up, etc.)

IMO!!!!

MP and the twins lived at the condo didn't they? Up until when? Perhaps they were in daycare closer to the condo than her mother's house. And why can't DSJr take them to their daycare now instead of leaving them with Pops and his crops? :waitasec:
