New Questions About Rumored Video Evidence In Holly Bobo Case

Evidence in the Holly Bobo case remains a mystery despite the fact authorities have arrested two suspects.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation won't tip it's hand, but NewsChannel 5 has uncovered new revelations about the role of a confidential informant and whether a key piece of video evidence may really exist.

NewsChannel 5 has learned that investigators believe there could be cellphone video showing Holly Bobo after she disappeared.

Friend of suspect in Holly Bobo case facing federal gun charges

It's always alarming when someone is arrested on federal gun charges. But when that person arrested is also a friend of the main suspect in Holly Bobo's murder, it raises a lot of questions.

The charges Robert Shawn Moody is facing are not connected to the Bobo case, but he was with Zach Adams, one of the main suspects in the case, just days before Bobo disappeared.

Moody is a man with a lengthy criminal history in Decatur and Henderson counties, including statutory rape. He's also a registered sex offender in Florida.

Community grieves alongside Holly Bobo's family

Pink bows started appearing across Tennessee's Decatur County in the spring of 2011.

Tied onto mailboxes. Hanging from street lamps. Wrapped around a centuries-old oak tree outside the county courthouse.

They became a constant reminder of the prayers rising up from the small cluster of communities about 90 minutes west of Nashville. As the search for Holly Bobo stretched from days to weeks, months to years, the ribbons faded into a pale pastel, and hope sank into dread.

Kelly Allen has made thousands of those bows since the 20-year-old nursing student vanished on April 13, 2011.

The bows Allen made last week paired the traditional pink with neon green accents. The new color represents the new goal for friends of the Bobo family: "What I want now is for justice to be served.

The Holly Bobo case: Friends, strangers, searchers
The first searchers to arrive on Swan Johnson Road on the morning of April 13, 2011, were family and friends.

But law enforcement officials said that by the end of the day Holly Bobo was kidnapped, more than 400 people had helped in the search. Over the past three years, some estimate well over 10,000 people have searched the hills and hollows of Decatur and Henderson counties alone.

For many, the search is what brought them together. Others found something inside themselves, a tight bond, that made the search continue. Many found that by banding together and searching for Holly as both friends and strangers, it was a way of lighting a torch against the evil that took her, that said "not here, not this town." Many in the community intend to take that torch all the way to the courthouse, where they hope to find justice.

"Now, it's about justice for Holly," Pratt said. "The support's still there. We're still there for the Bobos."

Wilbanks, the Highway Patrol officer, said he can't imagine the pain the family is going through and he wishes this never happened, but he hopes "every day brings them a brighter day than the previous."

Hutton said she believes what the searchers can find in the Bobos' story is hope, "because Holly has been home. Because of her faith, she's been in heaven since she died."

Mother of suspect in Holly Bobo case speaks out

It's been eight days since ginseng hunters found the biggest piece in the Holly Bobo case, an identifiable body.

Now, Zach Adams, the man accused of killing Bobo, is more than 100 miles away in a different jail.

Per the district attorney's request, he was relocated from the Chester County jail, where he's been since his arrest, to the Williamson County jail in Franklin.

Although this is just one week since Bobo's remains were found in the woods, the state said the timing is purely coincidental.
