Man tied to kidnapping, murder of Holly Bobo found dead

The man once protected by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation in exchange for information in the disappearance of Holly Bobo was found dead, according to his attorney.

Shayne Austin recently committed suicide, his attorney Luke Evans told News 2 Monday. The place and time of Austin’s death were not immediately known.

A man who authorities had threatened to indict in the Holly Bobo case has been found dead, his attorney told WSMV-TV today.

Evidence Linking Bobo Murder Suspects To The Crime

Two accused killers have been charged with the murder of Holly Bobo, but defense attorneys argue there's no proof. To date, the evidence has remained a mystery until now.

NewsChannel 5 has learned some of the details that led to the arrests of Zach Adams and Jason Autry. They spell out the case against the prime suspects.

"Anything that's in the criminal file is what the grand jury heard and what the state will rely on in the prosecution," said Leonardo.

One affidavit for a search warrant spells out the probable cause linking Adams and Autry to the crime. It begins with what Adams' brother, Dylan, told agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Suspects In Holly Bobo Case Arraigned On New Indictments

Court adjourned for the three suspects in the Holly Bobo murder case shortly before 10 a.m. Wednesday in Decatur County.

All three men have been charged with rape, kidnapping, and murder following an indictment handed down in May.

Not guilty pleas were entered for every count for each man.

The state has announced it will pursue the death penalty for all three men charged in the kidnapping and murder of Holly Bobo.

Zach Adams, Dylan Adams and Jason Autry all pleaded not guilty to their charges when they were arraigned in court on their new indictment on Wednesday morning.

3 defendants in Holly Bobo case face death penalty if convicted

Suspects Jason Autry, Zachary Adams and his brother John Dylan Adams appeared in Decatur County Circuit Court this morning to be arraigned on additional charges in the case. All three were charged in revised indictments last month with premeditated murder, and murder in the perpetration of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated rape of Holly Bobo. They are pleading not guilty.

The new indictments replace previous indictments that charged Autry and Zachary Adams with murder and kidnapping and John Dylan Adams with rape.

State intends to seek death penalty against 3 men charged in Bobo case

All three men are now charged with three counts of first degree murder, three counts of aggravated rape and two counts of especially aggravated kidnapping. The state filed notice and intent to seek death penalty against all three on Wednesday.

The court will now need to appoint additional lawyers for Zachary Adams and Dylan Adams with death penalty experience.

Autry now wants to be declared indigent to help pay for his defense. A hearing date has been set for him for August 26, and it is expected to deal with an anticipated motion to dismiss filed by his attorney.

Dylan Adams also asked to be declared indigent.

Nichols told the court that material shown in a TV news story last week has not been provided to her. Earlier in the hearing, the judge was upset about the report that showed otherwise not public documents.
