Found Deceased IA - David Schultz, 53, Wall Lake, 21 November 2023 #3

Out of the blue a friend of mine told me yesterday If David Schultz's body is in a field, it'll be found soon. Having just returned from a day trip through Iowa she was surprised how much ground has already been worked.

To me, his case is beginning to take on some of the devious devilment just discovered in the case of Veronica Butler and Jilian Kelley Two women apparently kidnapped, killed and bodies disposed of by relatives and friends of relatives over a child custody case.
It coincided with David's; disappearing from a isolated location, no obvious reason for any foul play, but so many possibilities leading nowhere.
LE kept a tight cover on that case and have solved it.
As I have said before, I believe LE has much in hand, but are not able to show due to its volatility.
Yes, I have that nagging feeling that there is so much that will eventually be revealed.

The turkey vultures are certainly out covering ground in full force, too. I recently saw a dozen of them circling over a wooded bike trail next to the Des Moines River. My first thought was, “I wonder if there is a body…”
I am sure they are out in the farm fields abundantly, if the locals and farmers are keeping an eye out for that sort of thing.

All so very bizarre.

Now, if she doesn't want to review his phone records, that's one thing (and very bizarre as well), but could LE request them even if she doesn't want to? I would hope that would have been the first type of data they would have obtained.
Just like she didn't want to watch the last known video of him at the fueling station, the night he disappeared.

Was he having an affair and she knew - reason for not wanting to review his phone.
I hope that was not the case…I would not wish that on anyone. But it is the only reason that makes any sort of sense, something that would hurt too deeply to take a look at. If it *was* some kind of infidelity, they must have reconciled sufficiently to still have been living together…

According to the official press release, LE does have his phone data. Now, I don't know if that includes his call log, I'm assuming it would, but don't know with 100% certainty.

SS not wanting to view those records or the photo is extremely telling.

Press Release

For Immediate Release P.O.C. Sheriff Ken McClure Date: December 9, 2023

SAC COUNTY, IOWA: November 21, 2023, at 2:23 PM, Sarah Schultz after learning that her husband David Schultz had not dropped a load of pigs off at Wieckman’s hog buying station in Sac City as scheduled that day called the Lake View Police and reported her husband missing after she was unable to make contact with him by telephone. David Schultz left his home around 7:00 PM on the evening of November 20, 2023. Schultz was scheduled to pick up a load of pigs in the Eagle Grove area and transport the pigs to Sac City.

At 3:04 PM on November 21, 2023, a Sac County Secondary Road employee reported to the Sac County Sheriff's Office that there was a semi-tractor-trailer parked on the traveled portion of the road at the intersection of D-15 (190th Street) and N-14 (Union Ave.). It was reported that this semi had been sitting there since early morning. Responding deputies determined that it was David Schultz’s. The semi was shut off, and inside deputies found David Schutlz’s wallet and cell phone. David Schultz’s driver's license was in the wallet. Investigators would later learn that nothing was missing from the wallet.

Over the next several hours, law enforcement searched the immediate area on foot and with a K-9. The Sac County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the Iowa State Patrol airwing unit. An airplane was dispatched from Iowa City that was equipped with forward-looking infra-red (FLIR). A state patrol pilot flew the surrounding area and did not detect a heat signature that would be consistent with a person. For the next two days, law enforcement, area firefighters, and volunteers expanded the ground search on foot and with the use of drones. Nothing of significant value was located.

Detectives from the Sac County Sheriff's Office and the Lake View Police traveled to the Eagle Grove area and with assistance from the Wright County Sheriff's Office, located the hog confinement that Schultz was scheduled to load from. Load crew members were interviewed, and load records were obtained. Investigators learned that Schultz had picked up his load but had been late to arrive and he was the last truck loaded. Schultz left at about 10:50 PM.

Investigators obtained video footage of David Schultz at 11:15 PM on November 21, 2023, at the MM126 truck stop east of Fort Dodge on Hwy 20. Schultz is there for 16 minutes before leaving the truck stop. He is then seen on a DOT camera on Hwy 20 west of MM 126 truck stop heading west. This was the last time David Schultz was seen. Cell phone data obtained from David Schultz's phone corroborates this timeline.

Cell phone data also shows
investigators that Schultz travels across Hwy to the intersection of Hwy 20 & Hwy 71 junction. There was not any usable video from the DOT camera at Hwy 4 and Hwy 20, and there is no video of Schultz stopping at the truck stop at Hwy 4. Cell phone shows Schultz’s phone arrives at Hwy 20 & 71 at about 12:18 AM. The data shows the phone traveling north to where the truck was found. Data suggests the truck may have been there since 12:40 AM on November 21, 2023.

Video surveillance from an area business was obtained near Wieckman Hog Buying station. This video shows that David Schultz never made it to Wieckman’s. Law enforcement has searched for additional video footage from Eagle Grove to Fort Dodge but has not located any.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation has assisted with a forensic search of David Schultz’s phone. They have also confirmed that David Schultz has not legally gone through a US Bordering Crossing. Information was received that a person named David Schultz had a one-way flight from Minneapolis to Phoenix, AZ on the late afternoon of November 21, 2023. Working with Minneapolis Airport Police and the airline, it was determined after viewing video footage of the gate and receiving ticketing information, that it was not the David Schultz that is missing. DCI continues to assist in the examination of other digital evidence that has been obtained or requested through a subpoena or search warrant.

Over 100-thousand acres have been searched by the United Cajun Navy and many volunteers. As of the time of this press release, David Schultz has not been located.

Agencies that have assisted the Sac County Sheriff’s Office, Lake View Police Dept., and Sac County Attorney’s Office are the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, Iowa State Patrol, Wright County Sheriff’s Office, and Minneapolis, MN Police.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Sac County Sheriff’s Office at 712-662-7127 or your local law enforcement agency.

Didn’t SS hire a private investigator? Wouldn’t he have gone through the phone records and if any thing strange or suspicious show up he would of talked to her about it.
(I have not listen to the above interview yet)

She must not want the mystery solved that bad if she is not wanting to look in one of the most obvious places for clues, the phone records. Strange.
The long and short of it is obvious - SS is pushing a specific narrative and she won't even acknowledge anything that doesn't fit that narrative.

Sarah posted on Facebook about the PI a while back—if I am recalling correctly, it was a woman who was a friend of the family or had some kind of connection to Sarah.

The interview that was just posted here was not recent, so it is my understanding that Sarah had not yet hired the PI yet.

Please correct me if I am wrong, everyone!

Are you saying the PI is a woman??? Because THAT is not the case... PI is definitely male, he is the same one the sister of Mark Riesberg hired. Mark was missing before David from roughly the same area. Mark was found during the search for David.

Rest easy Mark!
Where are you David?!?!??!

Thank you!

I will go back to her Facebook when I have time to search, and try to find whatever post it was that made me think the PI was a woman…I just remember thinking, when I read it, that I was glad for Sarah that it was a female PI.

Nothing against a male PI of course…I am just thinking of womanly solidarity and such.

(I do remember when Mark Riesberg was found during the search for David. I am local-ish and it was in the news quite a bit. May Mark rest in peace and may David be found soon!)

Marks sister recommended the PI to Sarah on FB, that's maybe what u r recalling...regardless, being local do u see many/any of David's missing posters in your travels over the last 5 months??? When u go to (for example) RESTAURANTS, is his missing poster on the enter and/or exit door(s)???

I have never seen a missing poster for David conspicuously displayed anywhere in the last five months! If they are there, I am missing them.

Out of curiosity I will have to check out those bulletin boards different establishments have, with ads and community notices and such. Maybe there are posters on those.

In the interview that was recently posted, Sarah did mention the missing person posters again. The reoccurring theme from Sarah is the Sheriff did not or will not update the posters with the current reward amount. It's not the Sheriff job to print or supply posters. Someone needs to tell that to Sarah.

It would really be interesting to know how many missing posters Sarah and her family have actually distributed in the area. In other missing person cases I have followed the family and friends take it upon themselves to have posters made and distribute them. When Madeline Kingsbury was missing in Minnesota I drove through the area on the way to Minneapolis. There were missing posters everywhere. Along the highways like real estate signs, in stores and gas stations, on telephone poles. You couldn't help but notice them. Why don't I find it odd that someone local to the area said they have never seen a missing poster for David?

Another thing that struck me that Sarah said in the interview (and I haven't even finished watching to the end) is that Sarah is waiting on the Psychic to tell her where to have people like Jake search next. Sarah also said people have contacted her to request maps showing where searches have been done so they can search new areas themselves, but it doesn't sound like Sarah provided the maps to them. Maybe she doesn't want anyone looking for David.
