Schwartz said he read a text message White sent to a friend saying Caldwell was aware he was having an affair with Aday. Schwartz quoted the text as saying Caldwell had gone crazy, but that she had gotten over the affair.
Officers discovered surveillance video that had been taken inside the home. Schwartz said the video shows Caldwell and White talking to each other in the kitchen area Nov. 7. White was holding a rifle, and set it down next to a couch before taking off his jacket. Schwartz said the two appeared to be talking normally, not agitated or arguing. The two left the kitchen and the video ends. The next available video showed the camera pointing at the ceiling of the home, Schwartz said.
