GUILTY ID - Christin Caldwell, 48, murdered, Bonneville County, 7 Nov 2016

Her attorney should tell her its not a good idea to keep Jeremy White as a "friend" on her Facebook. jmo

Deena Aday has her preliminary hearing scheduled for Feb. 24. It will be interesting to see what happens there, I know Christin Caldwell's brother was irate that her bail was reduced & she is out living her life.

By all appearances, she's just going back to life as usual with her husband! Wow. I'm not believing she didn't know anything. And she supposedly thought they were going to start a new life together? Her poor husband and children. What betrayal. Too bad the murder victim doesn't get to just come home and act like nothing happened.

What a fool.

Aday has a problem. To avoid more serious charges she has to claim she knew nothing of the murder. I don't believe that for many reasons. If she maintains this stance what could she give the prosecution to help against White.

they were n her car and raided her bank account.. even if she did not know they raided her bank account, she cannot believe they were running off in her car w her permission....

Aday to be arraigned, expected to enter plea

Deena Aday’s counsel waived her right to a preliminary hearing Tuesday and she will enter a plea to her accessory to a felony charge in the coming weeks.

Aday, 49, is charged with accessory to a felony by willfully withholding knowledge of a felony, after she was reported to have fled the state with a murder suspect.

Aday did not appear in court Tuesday and remains free after being released to pretrial services in December.

Arrrgh. I can't believe she is not in jail right now.

An Idaho Falls man accused of killing and burying his fiancee pleaded guilty to second-degree murder Thursday evening and will spend up to 45 years in prison.

Jeremy White, 39, was charged in November for killing Christin Caldwell at their Bonneville County home. He then buried her body in the basement and fled to Nevada with Deena Aday.

White entered into the plea agreement after a day of mediation with the Bonneville County Prosecutors Office.

The terms of the plea agreement are that White will serve 15 to 45 years in prison but he first must tell investigators what happened on Nov. 8.

Bonneville County Prosecutor Danny Clark said counsel worked through the day to come to a plea agreement. He said it would have been easier to wait until Friday, but Caldwell’s family wanted the hearing to be over. Her family was particularly concerned with learning what happened to their loved one.

“We never had his story,” Clark said. “They want to know the why and the what.”

He is scheduled to be sentenced by Pickett at 10 a.m. Sept. 20.

I wonder if they'll still pursue charges against Aday?

Maybe when White gives his story of what happened, more charges could be brought against her.

Hearing rescheduled for friend of man who admitted to murdering fiancee

“She’s cooperated with police giving evidence and information to them in order to facilitate the successful prosecution of Mr. White,” Clark said.

White pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in July and admitted to strangling Caldwell to death. He is scheduled to be sentenced next week and could face up to 45 years in prison.

“The decisions on how to proceed with her are being made after Mr. White’s case is completed,” Clark said.

Today a hearing was scheduled for pretrial motions. Apparently the hearing & trial were moved back until Whites' sentencing. White agreed to give Caldwells family an accounting of what he did to her. I don't know if he has complied. This accounting could further implicate Aday or not. Moving her hearing & trial seems prudent.

Jeremy White, 39, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in July as part of a plea agreement. He was sentenced Wednesday to 45 years in prison with 15 years fixed time and 30 year indeterminate.

“I do not forgive you and I will not forgive you. I hate you more than I have hated anyone or anything in my life. You are not just responsible for the death of my sister but the death of my mother who died three months to the day after Christin died,” Collidge said. “I hope prison is horrible. I hope it’s the stuff nightmares are made of and I hope when judgement day comes you rot in hell.”

As part of the plea agreement, White agreed to explain what happened the night of the murder.

Bonneville County Prosecutor Daniel Clark said White and Caldwell, 48, had been in an argument all day and into the night after Caldwell learned of White’s affair with Aday. The argument escalated until White strangled Caldwell with his hands.
