This may have already been answered, but was GGF widowed and if so, when did GGM (great-grandmother) pass away? Was it in recent years?

Could GGF wanted to go to back to this campsite after all of these years to scatter GGM's ashes there?

Just wondering how an outsider coukd have gained access to that camping area and the reservoir (to spread cremains), with an active SAR mission going on?

Can't get into details of GGM and GGP because we are not supposed to sleuth the family. However, it is safe to say that it was not GGM's ashes that were being dispersed. The campground wasn't closed off during the first few days of the search.

Thank you for clarifying, ClaireNC.

There's no actual campground name AT ALL on ANY page. It just gives a description of some unknown place. Really strange, IMO

I think this camping area is actually in the Leadore Ranger District. I've attached a PNG of the district map. Red arrows point to Leadore and the campsite on the map.

It may be easier to see everything using the PDF link below.

The Leadore Ranger District page doesn't have much information at all. Not even a map of the district. The Recreation tab doesn't work.
