Wow! Another young college student missing and LE thinking 'no foul play,' yet all the indicators are there. Didn't take cell phone, left lights and tv on, comforter missing, two days gone by before she's missed.
IMO, she appears too responsible for this to be a voluntary absence. LE needs to wake up on this one. Something has happened to this young woman.
JMHO

I absolutely agree with you, this just doesn't add up. One thing that really strikes me as odd is that, if she did stage her own disappearance for whatever reason, why go to the video store and rent a video? Sounds to me like she was planning to go home, settle in and watch a movie.
And why is the comforter missing? Maybe she took the comforter off the bed to "cuddle up" in on the sofa while watching the movie. If someone attacked her while she was wrapped up in the comforter, there would probably be evidence such as blood, hair, etc. left on it, so the attacker took it to get rid of the evidence. Or used the comforter to wrap her up in before taking her out of the apartment. I wonder whether her apartment was easily seen from a street or another apartment unit, or if it was more secluded.
On the other hand, if somehow the comforter had gotten dirty, I doubt she would have driven to the laundromat (described as being in an unsavory part of town) at that time of night just to wash it. If it were me, I'd wait until morning. But let's say she did decide to go to the laundromat - then why didn't she take her cell phone, especially since she was going into a bad part of town late at night by herself??
Another thought - were any of her textbooks missing? I remember when I was in college, I used my laundry time to study, because there wasn't much else to do while waiting for the clothes to get done. If she did go to the laundromat, it seems likely that she would have taken something to read, probably a textbook to get a little extra study time.
There are so many questions about this disappearance, it's hard to look at the facts and NOT suspect foul play. Either LE knows something we don't, or they aren't taking this seriously enough. They need to look at the case of Taylor Behl, another college student who disappeared, and was murdered. It took LE a while to admit that foul play may have been involved.
By the way, are the campus cops working on this disappearance, or is it mainly the local LE?
