Kegan Kline

* December 2021 - ISP released images from a social media profile for “anthony_shots” on Instagram and Snapchat

* Police said account had been used to solicit nude photos from underage girls

“Investigators are again asking anyone who may have communicated with, met, or attempted to meet the anthony_shots profile to contact them. For example, investigators want to know when the communication took place with anthony_shots, how it took place, what social media applications the account used, and if anthony_shots attempted to meet or obtain your address. Anyone with saved images or conversations with the anthony_shots profile, should include them in the tip.”

* Person linked to “anthony_shots” profile, KAK, is in custody and faces more than two dozen charges in connection with a child exploitation investigation

* KAK is being held in the Miami County Jail.

“Kline admitted to contacting underage girls on social media and soliciting nude photos, according to court documents. He told police he had about 100 photos and 20 videos of a sexually explicit nature.”

December 14, 2021

“The pretrial conference that had been set for Kline's child exploitation case was moved from Dec. 16, 2021 to Feb. 24, 2022. The motion also set the final pre-trial conference date for April 21, 2022 and the start of the jury trial for May 9, 2022.

Kline is facing 30 charges related to child exploitation, child *advertiser censored* and child solicitation.”

[...]

“According to a probable cause affidavit out of Miami County, obtained by 13News, Kline created social media accounts with the username anthony_shots approximately six months prior to when investigators interviewed him in February of 2017. He allegedly said he created the account to contact both girls he knew and girls he did not. Court documents show Kline saying he would talk to girls, even if they were under the age of 16, and that he found them on Instagram and then told them to message him on Snapchat.”

The Indiana state police are issuing a new warning to the culprit responsible for the murders of 13-year-old Abby Williams and 14-year-old Libby German on a hiking trail nearly five years ago.
Indiana police issues warning to killer still at large for murder of Delphi teens

.05: Image from video of police rolling crime scene tape, yellow “NO SHOOTING” sign can be seen, then goes to overhead view of searchers in creek

GMA Host says:

“Police say they may be closing in on the killer”, “what the families are saying now”

Reporter Amy says:

- ISP says “they still receive 25-30 tips per week from all over the world and this case is far from cold”

Carter: “My resolve to catch him is as strong now as it was day 1. But difference between day 1 and now is we know about you” (smile). Confidently “A lot about you”, nods with resolve. “Today could be the day. Sleep Well.”

DC says Anthony Shots profile has “generated a tremendous number of leads for us, and that’s as far as I can go.”

The Pattys comment.

Becky Patty says “If you knew Libby, she always had her phone, attached to her hip, all the time.”

Teens knew something wasn’t right.

Mike Patty, on Libby recording the suspect:

“Something inside of me just says she was going to film that, come home and say look at this guy, he was acting really weird.”

Anna Williams reflects on what her daughter would be like today:

“They’d be finishing up their freshman year in college. It’s hard to believe. She would have turned into a really good young lady.”

Reporter: The families desperate for the one tip that will bring them closure:

Anna Williams continues:”It’s probably the smallest thing, but it’s that one small thing that we’re missing. And that’s what we keep hoping for, that that one small thing will come to light and that this will be over.

Mike Patty:

“This guy could strike agin, it could be your kids. It happened to our family. I don’t want it to happen to anybody else, this is not something that anyone should have to go through.”

Reporter: Carter has resolved to forge ahead until the killer is found, hopefully he will soon be able to give the families some closure and take a dangerous man off the streets.

Catfishing sex offender who was 'the last so speak to' Delphi murder victims denies killing them | Daily Mail Online

“In a jailhouse interview with HLN that will air on Saturday as part of its Delphi murder investigation special, Kline says police told him he was the last person to speak with the girls.”

[...]

“Speaking from jail, Kline told HLN that he has 'no idea' why police are now linking him to the murders, but then said: 'I think it's because they said I was the last person to talk to her, is what they've told me.'

He maintained that he did not have anything to do with the killings.

'One hundred percent not,' he said when asked if he was the man Libby took a photo of on the bridge.”

Kegan Kline, 27, is currently in jail on separate child *advertiser censored* charges but he was free on February 14, 2017, when the girls were murdered

Delphi Murder updates: Everything we know five years later (wrtv.com)
''Are There Any Suspects?

Yes and no.
Indiana State Police say they have a suspect, but they have no idea who he is.''
''In real life, Carter says things aren’t always as they appear, detectives don’t reveal their entire hand when they’re investigating a case, and a case isn’t cold just because there hasn’t been an arrest.
“I’m not going to ask you or your viewers to understand that. I don’t want them to understand evil or to live with that each and every day,” Carter said during that same interview. “But I think people come to that conclusion based on time, not necessarily based on what we know and what we’ve even shared with everybody.”

''They also say they now believe that the second sketch is a more accurate depiction of the suspect, although the actual suspect may likely be a mix between both sketches.

"The sketch isn’t a photograph. A sketch is a sketch and that’s really important for everybody to understand," Carter said. "I believe that the individual, when we catch him, it will be a combination of those two.”

Unknown Vehicle

During the press conference in April 2019, Indiana State Police also requested the public's help to identify the driver of a vehicle that was parked near the Monon High Bridge on the day Libby and Abby went missing.

Carter says a vehicle was parked at the old CPS/DCS Welfare building in Delphi on the east side of County Road 300 North, next to the Hoosier Heartland Highway between noon and 5 p.m. February 14, 2017. No details about that vehicle were released, including make and model, color or license plate number.

“We believe you are hiding in plain sight,” Carter said. “For more than two years…. We likely have interviewed you or someone close to you. We know that this is about power to you, and you want to know what we know – that one day, you will.”

So far, no additional information has been released and Indiana State Police have still not identified the vehicle or a possible person who may have been driving it.''

''Every one of those tips and potential leads that are called in and emailed to the Delphi tip lines — more than 40,000 so far — is vetted by investigators.
''Every tip received is entered into an FBI system called “Pyramid.” That system stores information like names, descriptions and motives so it can be cross-referenced with other tips locally and across the country to find any possible connections.''

“Are There Any Suspects?

Yes and no.

Indiana State Police say they have a suspect, but they have no idea who he is.”

—-

“State police have said that unknown man is responsible for Libby and Abby's death — but despite the evidence left behind by Libby and two sketches from potential witnesses in the area, investigators have yet to find the man responsible for their murders.”

[...]

“In the past five years there have been multiple names connected to the Delphi investigation and at least two have been named a "person of interest" in the case. State police say they do not "clear" suspects while the investigation is open, but after looking into each person investigators have "moved on" in the case without ever naming them as a suspect.”
