"incestuous" images found on JP's computer in Utah

My opinion and speculation only--It seems reasonable to believe that j knew exactly what was alledgedly on his computer. With the ordering of the psych-sexual exam, he also probably realized the direction the courts and police were heading. It is possible he must have known his "results" would be alarming at best, and disgusting at worst.
His standard operating procedure was victim. Casserole me, pack me, help me, sympathize with me, all the world is against me.....
I have to believe that when this this came out, his ability to engender sympathy would be extremely limited. The chances of him getting custody would probably be nil. So, is it possible he came up with a monstrous solution, rather than live with the consequences of his choices?

Beyond that, could Susan have seen these images? Is it possible 3 innocent human beings are dead because of a determination to keep a disgusting computer life hidden?

I agree with ALL of the above. Susan caught him with something so damning that he felt the need to get rid of her. Now, if he was told there was something found that created the need for this exam, someone HAD to know what his reaction was. I find it hard to believe NO ONE observed his strange behavior from that point on...

A-friggin-men. She can't use the cyberbullying as her weapon in the press now. She can't defend this. I feel sorry for her because knowing the house she grew up in she was probably abused herself and is just repeating the Powell family party line that it's not their fault, it's everybody elses. But then it stops. She can't defend her brother against this.

I just pray harder for the Coxes. This is just such a nightmare for them.
 
So maybe its a legal loop hole that he couldn't be charged but how could CPS know and not stop the home visits immediately! They found out before the hearing, they knew before the tragedy occurred they had the power to stop it. When this first started I though Josh was solely responsible but so much is coming out where the system knew and let so much slide.

I'm physically ill right now! Down right p'ed off!!! What is it going to take for our dadgum legal system to truly put our kids first!!! WTH... I'm so sick of the term "in the best interest of the child." We need to give this a new definition and make our state medical representatives, ie. state psychologists, drop the whole nuclear family goal! When are they going to figure out that that's not what is the best for a whole lot of these kids. Time and time again they give these kids back to the parents, they get abused again or killed, and we have to hear the nuclear family psycho babble... We need to get rid of this idea... and accept that not all kids should be reunited with their bio parent!

When jp said he had a surprise for them, I can't even put it into words... A whole dictionary of words flood my brain, and many more that I can't put here. I feel like jp's rights as a parent were more important than those babies, as usual.

Just set my dvr to watch 20/20 tonight with the social worker, imo, one of the few state reps that did her job. Also, dateline is doing a show tonight on this.

Ever since last year when SP was arrested for child *advertiser censored* on the computer and JP made some statement at one of the hearings last year, IIRC, that if there was 'something' on one of his computers the police just took, he's (JP)not aware of it, my theory became: SP and JP are into incest and pedophelia. Susan either came across kiddie *advertiser censored* on JP's computer, came across something like this computer generated incest *advertiser censored* on a household computer, or ... she actually walked in on him conducting some form of sexual abuse on one or both of the boys.

I think her death was the best way, in Josh's mind, to shut her up and to allow him to keep up the long family tradition of getting rid of mama somehow, and perpetuating pedophilia and incest in Powell males.

Totally agree. I can't begin to understand why CPS would sign off on home visits with j.
The potential that those images were a legal loophole is nauseatingly disturbing. Another thing- The police do not describe the images as *advertiser censored*. What specifically caused LE to firmly describe them as incestuous? Were they named or shockingly obvious images?
 
Anyone who let him have custody of the boys after finding these "incestuous images" was IMO enabling Josh.
I am just so SICKENED by all of this, every day some vile news comes out. I have been in hospital the past week and haven't been able to read beyond the headlines as it makes me feel worse. I go home today and will light some candles for those two brave little boys and their lovely mother.
I really hope that Powell senior dies an unpleasant death, what a legacy he has left

Might not be representative of Josh or any real person at all, but obvious family members. In other words, scenes with obvious parent/child or sibling/sibling types engaging in sexual behavior.
 
I'm guessing that they know this material was "incestuous" because it came from an anime-styled cartoon with a plot that contains explicit sex. Animated cartoon *advertiser censored*, even if it contains minor or incestuous activities, is not illegal at this time under child *advertiser censored* statutes. There's been Supreme Court litigation over this fact already - we covered it in my constitutional law class.

That said, while it may not be illegal to possess, it certainly should raise a red flag, particularly given the subject matter. I am strongly questioning why CPS did not have visitation at a secure place, rather than at the home. The boys deserved better than this.
 
There must have been dialogue or written captions or something identifiable in the computer-generated images themselves which clearly indicates to the viewer that the adult is a parent. Thus, incestuous.
 
IMO, there should have been no court-ordered supervised visitation ordered by this judge. That includes out-of-home, with an army of guards. None. I'm adamant about this.

These types of images are sometimes used on Craigslist in the Personal section. It's not my kind of thing, but it's out there.
 
What am I missing here? If the images were discovered on Josh's computer in 2009 in Utah, just who was withholding access to viewing these computer-generated incestuous images from whom?
