The river is mostly blocked with warehouses, a cruise ship terminal, a big huge mall, a sea wall (if the river were to flood, there is a concrete wall that would try to keep the water out of the city, as we are below sea level), streetcar tracks and train tracks. This is mostly what it looks like.

I can't find a picture of the outside, but it is a club that is in a strip that has lots of bars and lots of traffic. It is a popular club, surrounded by other popular clubs. It is not at all isolated. Someone reported that he was heading towards Canal, if you see that on the map.

It's not that far of a walk from there to the Riverwalk. While I don't live in NOLA like others here, I have walked those streets countless times in the last 22 years. In my opinion, it shouldn't be ruled out until more is known.

Wondering if they'll release footage of him from security cameras as he was walking. Try to map where he was last seen for sure on camera.

I had dreams about this case all night last night! And in every one, there was a common theme--- PHYSICALLY GO to the coroner's office. About a year ago, a guy went missing in NOLA. His friend called multiple times with a description and they kept insisting that they had no John Doe's with the description. So, he walked the streets talking to people and looking for him for 5 weeks. Unfortunately, he was with the coroner's office from almost the beginning! Not many people would even know about that case. I really hope his family actually goes to the coroner's office, explains their knowledge of that case and insists on them checking WELL that they don't have him. It is really inexcusable, but it obviously happens.

They both look so much alike! Hopefully this young man will be okay and found soon.

I can't believe LE still haven't found these women or they haven't came forward yet. I mean really. For them to use the cards at the stores they did, I feel they are regulars around that area. This is so scary, I feel so bad for his family not knowing anything.

And one fb profile was down and then went back up. So it shouldn't be too hard. Maybe they already talked to them. I know one is fb friends with a female nopd. She could Def give some info about where they go, work, etc.

The woman he was carrying who has recovered--- Was she someone he knew or a stranger? Was she there with anyone else? Another guy or guys? Jealousy? Just a question...what do we know about that friendship or lack of relationship?
 
Today is Mark's Birthday. I hope it's the day he is found safe.
 
Agreeing with posters about the two women. You are known, ladies. Everyone has seen your face. You cannot hide. Tell where he is!
 
On the find me page, there is a post about the 2 women. Marks Dad says to calm down about the women. They did not get the cards from Mark. He said news will follow.

Well I can't say that's good news. Are other people involved? Best case scenario is that he just left in his own. But his bday was yesterday. That doesn't seem logical to not contact your family. Not good.

BTW. ... what in the world were these women doing not only with stolen cards at 3 am but with a 3 year old child too! Far from innocent, those two.

I've wondering if they bought the cards off of someone else. It is a common occurrence to have the suspect take items off the victim and then sell them.

My thought is the cards were taken and used before he was last seen. This might make the women guilty of theft but not directly connected to his disappearance.

Why weren't they already found?? They were responding to random people's Facebook messages. It is on the find mark page. Glad the ball is rolling.... I don't think this will end well.

And all official reports say he was seen at 11 pm. The card was used at 2:48 am. I think the two things are related, somehow.

According to online court records, Peters appeared in Orleans Parish Criminal District Court on Jan. 6 for arraignment on charges of simple battery and simple criminal damage to property. Her trial on those charges, unrelated to the Bakotic case, is set for Feb. 9.

That just isn't a good sign to me that she has a history of battery and criminal property damage. I hope I'm wrong for this young man's sake.

The two females wanted in questioning, may not be the suspects but I'd like to bet their boyfriend, male friend, baby daddy, pimp, etc can give them more answers. JMO

Also wanted to add to above that Mark is from Pascagoula which is only 25 miles from where the body was found. Maybe he was trying to make his way home?
