Good theory and totally possible Rayemonde. Some of the French tweets during that exchange seemed to indicate that the witness was very embarrassed but I admit I don't read French very well. And I'm sure he was embarrassed by that line of questioning. So his squeaky clean story of their encounter might be a little off as well. Seems odd that LM had arranged for two "hookups" on gay dating sites and neither of them panned out. But I don't think it was an escort thing. It seems that LM had been in contact with this gentleman when he was still back in Canada. Apparently trying to find a place to stay when he planned to go to France on June 1st?

Agreed, that's quite puzzling. Especially since he was allowed to leave and return to Canada without question during 2011. I would have thought that if he was wanted by police, his passport would have alerted them and he would have been apprehended and questioned. This is what happened to the owner of bestgore.com, they arrested him as soon as he returned to Canada and customs officers siezed his property.

LM has prior history of a similar crime, his fraud conviction and the sexual assault charges (which were later dropped) against a vulnerable woman. I believe the fraud charges involved applying for credit cards in the lady's name and she also claimed he sexually assaulted her whilst filming it.
