I just can't imagine that if the Crown was allowed to talk about it, that they wouldn't be hammering it home. IMO anyway, I think that is such a crucial piece of information.

Interesting that he was actually looking at the Interpol website in the Berlin café. Actually I'm surprised they didn't bring in evidence from that computer of whatever else he was looking at. But then again I'm surprised there is NO computer evidence of internet search and web page history on any of the computers LM had access to.

Well that's it. I think the Crown did the best they could with what they had to work with. Glad the jury gets to go home for the weekend and then start fresh on Monday with deliberations. I think with the Christmas holidays fast approaching, they will work diligently and put in long hours going over the evidence and I think we should be expecting a verdict by the end of next week.

Ironically, this all started with LM's "Christmas" video of the first cat killing. Let's hope it ends with him getting a life sentence for first degree murder almost exactly 4 years later. This time of the year figures prominently in LM's activities over the last 4 years.

Also forgot to mention that Jun Lin's father was in the courtroom today for the Crown's closing argument. Hoping that he and his wife can get some kind closure to their nightmare as well. Although nothing will ever ease their pain or torment I'm sure, let's hope they receive the justice they deserve for the senseless death of their son. :cry:

I do find that bizarre. If he was an exchange student at the university, someone would have recognized him from the pictures. A fellow student, professor...someone. He seemed to be carrying a book bag like a student however. And of course we can't count on LM telling the truth about him being Columbian. So this could have been a random tourist from anywhere in the world that LM picked up somewhere (likely in a gay club) and brought home with him. And this story is just not in the news wherever this gentleman is from. Do we even know if the story made the news at all in Columbia? Did LE even bother to send this picture to their counterparts there to see if they could locate him? Probably not. It just wasn't that important in the grand scheme of things I guess.

My guess is that he knows who he is but maybe isn't out of the closet. Coming forward would probably be traumatic, and his small circle of friends is probably rallying behind him. He's likely a foreign student so he might have a handful of friends. There is also the possibility that he's gone back to wherever he came from and knows nothing about it.
