Maurice Francis is the boy's uncle, and while he's upset the boy was left unattended, he just wants to find him.

"We're just hoping he's lost, you know? Just trying to find his way back to wherever he could find someone who could take him home," says Francis.

Jaimee Chamberlain left her son in the care of her boyfriend, 20-year-old Anthony Bennett, while she worked Thursday.

She said that Bennett has watched her son about five times since the end of May. The two have been dating for about seven months, she said on Wednesday.

Police said that Jaimee Chamberlain was given a polygraph on June 22, but did not release the results.

She said on Wednesday that she had passed the test and a second one that was given. Bennett denied requests to take a polygraph test, police said.

The last 5 of those days have been hard for the boy's great aunt, Esther Chatfield, who lives next door to the home where Carnell, 4, went missing.

"Being so close to this, not knowing where that baby is. They don't know what they're putting me and my husband through," Chatfield said.

Chatfield was questioned about what happened by the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe Police, FBI and Michigan State Police.

Chatfield told us her husband and son were sitting outside the night Carnell went missing, but they didn’t see or hear a thing.

Great article. So the boys great aunt and great uncle live next door. They didn't see or hear anything when the boy was discovered missing. NO ONE (except AB, who isn't talking) knows WHAT TIME he went missing exactly. We only know when his mother discovered he was missing. He could have been missing for hours prior to his mothers discovery, which would make sense why no one heard anything while they were outside around the time mom discovered Carnel missing.

I swore off NG after she ripped apart Bianca Jones mother. I don't have cable TV, or free tv for that matter ( we are a tv free household aside from dvd's and the wii). I'd be tempted to find a way to watch IF AB has agreed to be on the show. Anyone know if AB is appearing?

(06/27/12) - The search for a missing Isabella County boy is now in its seventh day.

Carnel Chamberlain disappeared last Thursday from his home on the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Reservation.

Wednesday, search crews were out in full-force.

ABC12's Rebecca Trylch was the only reporter allowed to go out with searchers Wednesday.

The tribe let ABC12 go along with search crews because they want people to see what they're up against.

They believe if 4-year-old Carnel Chamberlain wandered off on his own, he would likely have only made it about a mile. That's exactly where the search was focused Wednesday.

Monday morning Bennett was brought in to police authorities under a different arrest warrant. There were pictures taken and he reportedly had scratches on his arms.

Bennett is not in police custody, but he is under watch."

BBM. Kind of stupid for MSM to announce AB is being watched. Why did they have to do that? Clearly he is being watched but why announce it? Why not just sit back and wait for the guy to make a mistake? Thanks media for blowing LE's cover! Duh! :maddening:
 
So I was out with the dogs today from 8am till almost 6pm. The conditions are brutal. The dogs tire very quickly, and must take frequent breaks. It seems like the number of searchers are dwindling. I hope Anthony gives up his location soon, or I worry that it might be fall when the brush is down before he gets found.

Kevin Chamberlain as the family spokeperson. Chamberlain is the cousin of Carnel's mother, Jaimee Chamberlain, a former Saginaw Chippewa Tribal chief, and a well-known musician.

Kevin describes Carnel as a very intelligent child. "He's on the quiet side, not the bouncing-off-the-walls kid. He keeps to himself and is not a wanderer. He's not the kind of kid that was easily pulled away by external stimuli."

"He has a good sense of humor; really a great little kid," said Kevin.

Kevin Chamberlain describes Carnel's relationship with his 21-year-old mother Jaimee as "youthful in nature, a lot of fun, not stuffy and quiet."

"They have a lot of things going on, they do a lot of things," said Kevin.

Jaimee Chamberlain worked a 3:30 to 9:30 p.m. shift at Isabella's restaurant at the Soaring Eagle Casino, and learned from her boyfriend Anthony M. Bennett that her son was missing upon returning to her Tomah Road home.

Jaimee Chamberlain and 20-year-old Bennett had been in a relationship the past seven months, and were living together with 4-year-old Carnel.

MOUNT PLEASANT, MI — Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribal police have been searching for 4-year-old Carnel Chamberlain for six days, but their hope hasn't diminished.

"This is still a search and rescue. We haven't lost hope. It's an aggressive search and rescue that will continue on," said tribal spokesperson Frank Cloutier.

As of Wednesday afternoon, there were officials from 38 agencies assisting in the search.

Cloutier said that there is a criminal investigation going on as well as the search and rescue.

Thank you for the link. I have been following Kevin Chamberlain's personal Facebook page, and I feel that he has been amazing throughout this entire ordeal. He is an ideal person to be a family spokesperson on behalf of young Carnel. He is well-spoken, articulate, and compassionate. It is really helpful to the public to hear him give a more personal glimpse into who Carnel Chamberlain is; he speaks so fondly of the little boy. Hopefully this interview will increase the pressure on Anthony Bennett and lead to the discovery of this beautiful little boy!

As family spokesperson, Kevin will participate via telephone in a segment with legal commentator Nancy Grace for her current affairs program, which is scheduled to air at 8 p.m. Thursday. "I told Jaimee just be honest, you have nothing to hide," said Kevin. Appearing on the show "certainly can't hurt. Any way we can get more coverage to help find this child, we certainly won't deny it. Floodgates could open in terms of help and support."

I hope NG isn't off on a tangent. She's so Jerry Springerish these days I hope she focuses on the facts of the disappearance and not the faults of the mother which happened years ago.

If the Chamberlain family is reading here. Be prepared to have documentation to fact check and correct what are always numerous errors in reported facts on NG. IOW, an I'd like to correct that statement, here are the facts kind of thing. NG and her reporters are notorius for airing days old information which has already been proven incorrect or not relative to the case.

Got me thinking, I'm wondering if and when AB's attorney will speak on his behalf. Maybe AB and his attorney will appear on NG?
