I've updated the Chelsea Overview map to show the approximate location of the discovery, shown with a question mark. It is about 8 miles as the crow flies, from where Chelsea was last seen.

Thinking of Chelsea's family!

News at 5pm: 15 mins away from where she was last seen a body was found in a field. Police believe it may be her but are still investigating.

The body was found along Briar Hill Road, Ash Township. Looks like the area you all have been mapping. See red line on map.

Just heard on our local channel WXYZ channel 7. They have a reporter going to the scene. Just an hour away. Just mentioned to friends at work. Some live in the area. :(

CARLETON, Mich. (WXYZ) - Sources say the body of a female has been found near Briar Hill Road and Will Carleton Road in Monroe County.

Investigators are working to determine if the body is that of Chelsea Bruck, the young woman who went missing back in October.

Police say Bruck was last seen leaving a Halloween party with a man on October 26 at a Monroe County farmhouse eight miles from her house.

The location was described by the reporter as "in the area of 275 and Will Carlton Rd." Later she said "near Briar Hill." Also added that it was a large field, grassy (?) and lots of trees. But she also wasn't actually on the scene so IDK if she knows

ASH TOWNSHIP - Authorities are investigating a report of a female body found partially decomposed off Briar Hill Rd. in Ash Township. Police are blocking the road along the railroad tracks, and have not officially said whether the body is of Chelsea Bruck, who has been missing since Oct. 26. The Monroe News has staff in the area, updates will be posted as soon as they are available.
Roses...

"along railroad tracks..." my heart is aching and heavy.

I wonder what time the discovery was made? Presumably, Chelsea's family would have been notified prior to this being released to media.

The local news channel 7 wxyz showing their chopper in the area. Of course breaking news as this is local. :(

The body is female and partially decomposed. The sex was also confirmed by the last post.
