The best I can say for Ambrose is that he was stuck being Bashara's stand-in, and BB ran the hearing.
 
Tick, tock. Tick, tock. BB is probably having a bologna sandwich as he awaits Judge Vonda's ruling. He might need to don Depends prior to taking his seat in the courtroom :D
 
Cant the Judge scarf down her Sammy a bit quicker? Some of us here are waiting with baited breath. Lordy!!!! And growling tummy's to boot. Grrrr.......
 
I got the feeling a long, long time ago that Judge Vonda had no great love for BB. It wouldn't affect her decision, but just to listen to her tone of voice. Sassyblue, ya think! :happydance:

Wow! Judge Vonda deserves an Academy Award for that performance :dramaqueen: So glad Judge Evans put Bob in his place. He's needed a good azz whooping for a long time. Anyone lip read to know what Bob said to Mr. Ambrose? I doubt he thanked his attorney for a job well done ;)
 
Judge denies Bashara’s bid for new trial

After a hearing that lasted 10 months, a judge ruled Friday Bob Bashara will not get a new trial.

Wayne Circuit Judge Vonda Evans said Bashara’s attorney did not convince her the former Grosse Pointe Park businessman didn’t get a fair trial last year, when he was convicted of orchestrating the Jan. 24, 2012, murder of his wife, Jane Bashara.

“There has not been a miscarriage of justice,” Evans said. “All your motions are denied.” ...

Judge Vonda sure gave it to ole Bob. That was a thing of beauty. I just had a chance to view her delivery as I was following a blog. Her stern delivery and harsh look reminded me of my day there I don't believe I mentioned. I got one of Judge Evans looks and I wanted to drop thru the floor. My Gal Pal and I went to Pegasus for a delish lunch (thanks go to BDE on the eatery recommendation). There was a bit of time to kill so we went into the Greektown Casino. I wasn't gambling but standing watching my gal pal and looking at my watch. I finally ripped her away from the machine and we literally ran back to the Courthouse. Court had just started as we entered. I got the stern look. I thought why me? I tried to be here on time. Give my gal pal the look LOL I was so glad she didn't admonish me. If she had I would have beat feet back to Canada at the next break. That would have been sooooo embarrassing.

It must not be Bob's day to shower and shave. He looked terrible, and his face had red blotches. Has he been sick again?

I just love Judge Vonda Evans. She is sharp, and was not manipulated in the least by Master Bob. Even Joe Gentz outsmarted him. I would say he has definitely been demoted.
