does that say they released him??? ^^ wow that article is confusing! I sure hope they have him!
 
I swear that was not the article that it was when I copied the link. Now it says they released him....when I linked it, it said that they had someone stopped and believed him to be shooter. I'm sorry. Don't you hate it when the media gets way ahead of itself?

WIXOM, Mich. -
Sources told Local 4 Tuesday morning that a man is in custody and being questioned by police in connection with the Michigan roadway shootings, but is not being called a suspect at this time.

This is second development recently in the investigation. On Monday night, Wixom police were seen searching a home in the Courts of Highgates near Look Lake Road. They were focused on a car that matched the description of the suspect involved in the I-96 shootings.

Police at this time are not releasing any further information...

Is the POI same person as in the witness pictures.

Just wondering why they would post pictures of a witness? Wouldn't that put the witness in danger? Or unless he is/was the POI.

Reports are confusing but it looks like the "witness" might be the POI.

I'll drag myself away from the SVU Tuesday marathon long enough to see if Channel 4 has any new info at 4:00 ;)

Finally! The first fifteen minutes of the 4:00 news was election coverage. Brief report about the arrest of the suspect in the shooting incidents but nothing new.

I'm not sure about the theory that he is trying to keep people off I-96, as only a few of the shots were actually fired on I-96. Most were in the Wixom area, and, more recently (perhaps to reduce the focus on that area) the shootings took place more toward Lansing, past Fowlerville.

If that does turn out to be the case, I KNEW IT--there was no way they were interested in him as a witness. He looks like the sketch!

I'm relieved---now we just have to see what's revealed tomorrow when he's charged.

so glad he's been caught! been following this story as i just moved out of the swo/detroit area and have been concerned for my friends who live/drive there.

Victim must have gotten a good look at him. Then maybe in the follow up they had a pic of suspect and victim positivly identified him? It say victim lead them to suspect.

All so close to home, close to oldest son's work, close to my in laws. I'm so thankful he is in custody.
 
Weird. I imagined him to be much younger living in a run down apartment playing video games when he wasn't out there shooting it up. Is the picture his house or his mother's? It's a nice house too.
