But Christmas, the Myers' attorney, said the family maintains Myers was unarmed the night he was killed. He said they are asking for a complete investigation, rather than having information trickle out.

"All we asking is for a fair investigation as to why he lost his life, why was the officer approaching him, who is the officer, why was he over there and not on Flora Place where he was supposed to be patrolling. These parents have lost their only child and they can't get a full explanation of why they don't have their only son?" he said.

How would the family know he was unarmed that night? Were one of the parents home when he left? If not, how would they know if he was armed or not? If so, why did they let him go out when he was under house arrest?

Of course there is going to be a complete investigation. It was a fatal shooting. There are always going to be full investigations when an officer uses lethal force.

It is kind of funny that they are complaining about evidence 'trickling' out. Obviously, ALL the forensics are not in yet. So the full investigation is not complete, thus if they want ANY info, it has to be bit by bit. But they say NO, we want the full investigation, no trickling of info. Isnt that what FERGUSON TRIED TO DO with MB case? And they have been blasted for that, so Shaw tried it another way. And they are being called out for letting info trickle out too slowly. Can't win I guess.

As for the other questions, 'who is the officer, why was he looking at their son, why wasn't he staying on Flora...?' ----those seem like deflections. Why was their son was out and about while under house arrest, and armed with a stolen gun. Those are the vital questions, imo.

Part of me thinks they are hoping SLU won't become a target when the GJ comes back or perhaps because they have kicked them off. :dunno:
