MO - Tanya Chamberlain, 43, murdered, Lee's Summit, 1 Nov 2015 *Arrests*


I just don't understand the extreme violence in this case. She was innocently cleaning out her car. Why such a savage frenzy of stabbing/cutting? How are they capable of so much anger (or whatever was driving them) towards someone they've never even met??? That poor woman. This crime really, really disgusts me.

In 2015, Tanya Chamberlain was killed in a brutal stabbing, where she was wounded 49 times in an attack that started at a Lee’s Summit car wash.

Two Lee’s Summit juveniles, ages 13 and 14 at the time, were arrested in the case. In 2016 they were certified as adults to stand trial for her murder and on other charges. Trevon M. Henry is scheduled for trial in 2017, followed by Joshua R. Trigg’s trial, which is scheduled for 2018.
 
Jury selection begins for teen accused of brutally murdering Lee’s Summit woman at car wash

LEE'S SUMMIT, Mo. -- The jury selection begins Monday for a local teenager set to go on trial for the murder of a Lee's Summit woman.

Joshua Trigg is accused of murdering Tanya Chamberlain Nov. 1, 2015. Trigg was 14 years old at the time. He's the second juvenile who will be tried as an adult in the case.

Trigg faces the murder charge in addition to armed criminal action and first degree robbery along with alleged accomplice Trevon Henry.

Trigg and Henry are accused of repeatedly stabbing Chamberlain and killing her at a Lee's Summit car wash in the 900 block of Northeast Langsford Road.
