"Partner", not wife. "Between them" seems to indicate that they each have some from previous relationships.

I thought in that photo it looked like him, his partner ( on the left) another couple and four kids.
 
Would it not be proper ethics for a politician to recuse his position if his child was accused of murder? Also politicians are cut throat someone would have used this to there benefit if he was his dad. So I dont this that there is any relation.

Well I'm not sure if a politician would have to recuse their position if an adult child of theirs was accused of any crime but I do have to agree with you that if JR was any relation to MR then the press would have been all over it right after the arrest was announced. It's just interesting how people can appear to be connected to others just by names and locations. I also think that JR's two stints in Africa for extended periods of time would make it unlikely that he was ever married to MR's mother.

While I doubt that any long-absent father of an accused murderer would eagerly jump forward to publicly announce his parenthood, even if he did, and was a politician, he would have no legal or ethical reason to resign from his post. There are many stories online of politicians whose kids have been charged with serious crimes and none of them appeared to have resigned.

Very interesting sleuthing, I must say. I dont see how a correlation between JR and MTR would have ever been found by the media, because I dont think his father had much to do with him ever, and to my knowledge his mom never married his father. The media, and most people in general don't know a lot about MTR.

I find the resemblance interesting, they seem to have a similar facial shape, similar shaped eyes... Does anyone else see this?

I don't see much resemblance, but anything is possible. What I question is that if MTR's mother never married his father and he didn't ever have much to do with him, why she would choose to give MTR his surname. Most unmarried mothers give their children their own names, don't they? Unless the bio-dad stays in the picture and wants to give the child his name. No?

MTR has two half-brothers, I think. From the pictures, I had assumed that they are older than he is. So, what are their surnames and where does DM come by hers? (Man, I hope this family isn't going to turn out as vast and complicated as TM's!)

also his middle name is Thomas just like MTR. I wonder if JR's dads name was Michael or if MTR's grandfather on the mothers side was named michael..
 
Since it has been quiet here on this thread I have spent some time catching up on the Bandido Trial and reading back on the many articles the Toronto Star's Peter Edwards wrote. I found this very interesting article regarding a woman K. Morris who was originally involved with the Massacre and charged with first degree murder. The article states:

Morris was originally among the eight people charged with eight counts of first-degree murder after the massacre of eight members of the Bandidos biker gang, whose bullet-riddled bodies were found in vehicles along a muddy side road near the southwestern Ontario hamlet of Shedden on April 8, 2006.

Morris spent six weeks in custody before charges against her were reduced to being an accessory after the fact and obstruction of justice, and she was released on bail.

Those charges were dropped as well on Oct. 15, but the media was barred from reporting that until now because of a publication ban.

It is interesting to note that this article is written a year and a half after her arrest and the media was just able to finally mention this charge getting dropped!

Makes me wonder what really is going on in this case that is not being reported by the media at this time.
 
Has anyone found reference for MTR living in Thunder Bay? Did he go to school there? I know we heard from his friend that went to school with him in Drayton (Palmerston? area), which was Junior High. I think there is a connection to Thunder Bay, I just don't know how, other than he said he lived there in his profile. Perhaps he lived with his father at one point? Wasn't there a reference for his mom working at the abrasives plant for 30 years? That would negate HER living in TB during this time. Perhaps MTR was there on his own or with his father. Either Murphy is her maiden name, or she remarried? Anyway, that doesn't matter, just whether he had ties to Thunder Bay is important, I suppose.
 
Did anyone ever determine what the C and S stood for in his name? I wonder if those were former last names (or known as) last names. The C could be the same one as his poor brother.
 
We know very little facts regarding MR, some media references to his past, a few"insider" opinions. The latest posting dated April 8 at 10:01 a.m. reads, 'everything good is comming my way.'
We are left to wonder if this in reference to the horrible crime he may have participated in later that same day.
A week earlier on this same online "wall" he is obviously complaining that his old friends seem "too busy to see him one night". It would appear that he may have been feeling isolated in Woodstock, without "friends" and perhaps bored. This could have been the reason for connecting with TLM, and the surfacing of dark fantasies and the downward spiral that bottomed out with the abduction of murder of a young child.
Tori became a victim, that we know for fact. The how may come out at trial, the why we may never understand.
 
There are a number of references to dating sites for MR.
In one he refers to being 25 and having moved from Toronto to Guelph, two years ago. Looking for "mrs wonderful" for "foreverness". He lists his education as BA/BS 4 yr . He also appears on a Christian dating site at this time looking for a "single Christian girl to hopefully some day marry". At that time he was "working in construction" and "working on becoming a paramedic".
Two- three years later he is found on another dating site still seeking a long term relationship but listing himself as being a professional dance instructor and running a contracting business. Location Woodstock Lists his smarts as having a graduate degree.

I also came across another originating when he was 25 ( he includes a photo of himself) searching for "mrs right" He says he was originally from Toronto and having lived in Guelph for 3 years at point and working in construction. It is a Guelph dating site offering live chat.
It would appear that this young man has been searching for the right woman to form a committed relationship for at least 3 years. Moving around while doing so. Toronto, to Guelph, to Woodstock. It can become difficult to meet people and it is becoming more and more popular to connect with others through a dating site. Thanks to the internet it is easier to meet others with the same interests or goals. Unfortunately it can also lead to meeting those who have ulterior motives.

There is no way to actually enter or understand the mind of an individual who finds themselves charged with such a hideous crime. These online footprints to me only suggest a lonely individual, seeking a relationship with a member of the opposite sex. By information he provided on these sites he was tired of "games" and was looking for "the one".

Proclaiming to be religious or to not be religious, and willing to change some things about himself for the "one" relationship.
 
I am still catching up with Biker articles by the Star - found this for those who believe in the Biker Ethic that wives and children are strictly off limits in regards to retaliation:

Gault was convicted in the previous year of threatening the wife and children of a police officer in Durham Region who pulled him over for speeding.

Court heard that Gault told the Durham police officer; "I hope you're married because she will (expletive) see me soon and I hope you've got kids because they'll be (expletive) seeing me soon too."
