I did some digging this morning. There are two unsolved murders involving women that took place in Fayetteville less than two months apart in the summer/fall of 1987. At least one of the women was beaten and strangled. The younger of the two was just 17. The guy's former address was 2413 California Drive. That seems to be the address that was listed for him when he was sentenced in the case involving his stepdaughter. I do not know if he had a different address in 1987. I have been unable to determine where his wife and stepdaughter lived at the time of the crime. In any case, the home on California Drive is about six miles from where the bodies were found. One was found in a hotel and it sounds like the other was found on the street/sidewalk. The 17-year-old had been shot. So that might not fit the type of crime you'd expect to be the work of Bradley. But it think they ought to check into the murder of Brenda Melvin.
