She was just added to Charley Project today .

The facial shape is spot-on. The height is quite a bit off though (RV: 5'1", UID: 5'5" - 5'8")

Here's the UID's DoeNet casefile again:

They look a lot a like but the profile says Jane Doe has a size 9 shoe & Robin has a size 5 1/2.

Carl,

Did you ever turn that one in? The height on the UID was estimated as 5'6... i have seen it wrong so many times lately when an UID is actually matched to a person...

It's saying that a size 9 shoe was found... wonder if was actually the UID's since only the left one was recovered?

It also says that Robin was planning to travel to NY from MA and has a history of hitching rides with long haul truckers..... ....Around her remains investigators found two New York Transit Authority tokens, two keys with a partially burned key tag, a pair of broken glasses, and several coins.

And Robin is not on the rule out list!!

I have been looking for this woman for the last several years. I thought Lynne McCarty had this doe compared to as sample of Michelle's son's DNA, but I am not sure since her name is not on the rule out list. I realize that the time frame is off, but no one knows really when Michelle was (likely) killed by Michael Nicholaou.

Michelle disappeared undoubtedly at the hands of her common law husband somewhere between the Connecticut River Valley and NC imo.

The possible arrest of a suspect in a cold case homicide investigation may not bring Jacksonville police any closer to knowing the victim’s identity.

No one knows the real name of Jane Doe 95-7000, whose skeleton was found in the woods on Marine Boulevard in 1995. An investigation has led police to a suspect serving a life sentence in another murder, but detectives don’t believe he knew the woman he supposedly killed, authorities have confirmed.

Crime Stoppers of Onslow County is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to a positive identification of Jane Doe 95-7000 or an arrest if her death is ruled a homicide. Anyone with information can contact the Jacksonville Police Department at 910-455-4000 or Crime Stoppers at 910-938-3273. Callers do not have to reveal their identities.

I wish they would at least look at Fuentes. She is in the age and height range, out of the time frame, but not unreasonably or unexplainably so, and circumstantially very compelling. And she wore glasses.

I agree they should look at Fuentes. They are still looking for tips, try submitting her as a possible match...

I personally think this UID looks a lot like Robin Vaudreuil. The only thing about her that doesn't look damned-near exact would be her chin. Since the remains are skeletal, ANY "with the flesh on" reconstructions can't be 100% accurate. Her family knows she was going to a town that they didn't understand why she'd go to. Plus she apparently caught rides with truckers, which could explain why she could be so far afield from where expected.

Does anyone know what happened to Ms Foley? I thought her nose was too small to be this UID, but she disappeared from all of the missing persons sites and I can't find any explanation as to why.

Jacksonville Police continue to work to solve decades old cold case homicide

Detective Bob Garbett with Jacksonville Police says the woman's skeletal remains were found in December of 1995 by a surveyor deep in the woods adjacent to the Courts Plus Gym in Jacksonville.

Facial reconstruction done back in 2003 gave that skeleton a woman's face believed to be between the ages of 18 to 35. It's also believed she is Hispanic.

But even after DNA testing, who she was or how she died is unknown.

Garbett says, "She had her shirt, and some trousers were still there. A pair of jeans, and her shoe."
Those items, along with her sock, have been packaged away since 1995.
Garbett says subway tokens and some unique jewelry were also found..
Garbett says, "The goal is to get her reunited with her family, to bring them peace, to be able to lay her bones to rest."

Police continue to ask the public for help.
Video at link shows her shoes, jewelry, and subway token:

[h=1]COLD CASE: Remains found 22 years ago still unidentified[/h]
For more than 22 years, her identity has remained a mystery to investigators.

The bones of a woman estimated to be 25 to 40 years old, possibly Hispanic or Italian, were discovered by surveyors in December 1995, in a wooded area behind Courts Plus off North Marine Boulevard in Jacksonville.

Detectives were able to recover a women’s size-9 Nike sneaker, one black sock, a pair of custom-made, near-18-carat bangle bracelets and New York City subway tokens and several U.S. coins minted prior to 1995, according Bob Garbett spearheads the department’s Cold Case team with with Mike Ervin.
Through his investigation, Garbett has determined she went missing as early as sometime in the middle to late summer of 1994 to sometime in 1995. Garbett bases his theory on one article of clothing found at the scene.

“The Nike shoe she was wearing wasn’t manufactured until March 1994 and didn’t go on sale until May of that year,” Garbett said.
“The New York City subway tokens found on her had been out for several years and there were millions made,” Garbett said. “But the coins we found on her were dated 1994 and prior.”

Garbett said anthropologists who examined the remains determined she was 5’5” to 5’8” and her remains were consistent with a “white female” though it was not possible to determine her exact race. What was certain was she had extensive dental work.
“We have mitochondrial DNA to do a comparison. What we don’t have is a complete DNA profile. When she went missing, DNA wasn’t even used by law enforcement,” Garbett said.

Garbett said they have one more option of finding her full DNA profile.
“We’re going to N.C. State for a new form of DNA. It’s still in the research stages. It’s a way of extracting DNA so that we may be able to get that full profile of DNA,” Garbett said.

FATE OF VANISHED SISTER HAUNTS HER

Like the hundreds of crime victims she's counseled, Xenia Freeman finds that she can't sleep soundly, eat well or relax anymore. Her beloved 34-year-old sister, a rock-steady former Marine sergeant and mother of three children, has been missing for a year now. "I feel a sense of hopelessness because I don't know anything more than the day she disappeared and it's a year later," said Freeman, 44, a social worker and director with the private Victims Services Agency since 1979.

In the year since Randi Stacey Boothe Wilson vanished on Oct. 28, 1994 Freeman has posted flyers, appealed to missing persons cops, gone on TV shows and worked with a private investigator. She felt spooked enough to move from the Flushing apartment where she lived with Wilson after a burglary in January the only thing taken was the title to Wilson's van.

Wilson was last seen in that blue van by her estranged husband, Earle Wilson, who said she was driving from her mother-in-law's home in Westchester to Freeman's flat. He said Wilson called the next morning, telling him to pick up her van at an address he thought was in Manhattan. It was found a day later a block from Freeman's home. Although her personal life was in disarray, Wilson was a no-nonsense sort who stuck to a schedule and was devoted to her children, Freeman said. Wilson had recently separated from Earle Wilson, a Marine sergeant then stationed in California. Discharged from the Marines, Wilson moved back East in August 1994 with her daughter and two sons, ages 8 to 13. She got a security job in lower Manhattan.

Anyone with information is asked to call Greenburgh police at (914) 682-5300 or the NYPD missing persons squad at (212) 374-6913.
