Maybe y'all already know this, just saw it on wral.com:

FAIRMONT, N.C. — The Charlotte Division of the FBI has joined the search for 18-year old Sara Nicole Graham, who was last seen on Feb. 4.

I saw this on WRAL's site tonight. I really don't understand why she hasn't been featured on WRAL earlier than today. WRAL regularly runs stories out of Fayetteville, and Sara's community isn't much farther south. I hope the news in Wilmington and Fayetteville have been covering her disappearance over the past month. :(

It's very good to see so many news agencies getting the word out about Sara.

These are the cell towers. There was one closer to her van. So either she didn't have the phone on in the car, or she never made it outside the range of the tower closer to her house with her cell phone on.

So it seems no one can prove she even left the house, her pings don't prove that she left the area around her house, her car never made it anywhere with a camera. The van was clean of her belongings and called in only a few hours after her disappearance. (Question: is it possible LE called it in themselves because it was sitting in the field a bit, near the tree line? I could see an officer passing by, finding that suspicious and calling it in.) We haven't heard anyone else's DNA being found in the van and we don't even think they checked the van, why wouldn't they? Because there wasn't blood or anything?

I don't understand anything here. It seems like everyone thinks Sara ran away from how they've treated the case. But it's been a month, she hasn't surfaced? What's happening with her bank account? Does ANYTHING prove that she ran away? Did she take clothes? Stuff? Did she have cash stored away?

Someone with more technical knowledge of cell phones would be able to answer this better than me. But don't some of the more recent cell phones - sold in the last 5 years or so - still ping towers even when off? The only way to stop it is to remove the battery? Of course, we don't know what kind of phone Sara has.

This case is so curious. To me it seems to have markers of both an abduction and a run away. We have no physical evidence to suggest a struggle, but after a month and multiple LE agencies searching they have no signs of her anywhere. I think whoever planned this out (Sara or an abductor) did it with the intentions of throwing LE off the trail.
IF she left voluntarily, she may have left the van somewhere random to send LE/family looking in the wrong direction, she may have taken her phone so family wouldn't snoop through it, ID for obvious reason.
IF someone abducted her, maybe they thought to take her phone/ID so it looked like she just ran away. Assuming someone abducted her I feel she was familiar with them in some way- enough not to struggle, enough to to be surprise, frightened, or react.

I agree with BeachBabe: this case is so curious! I'm questioning how likely it would be for an abductor to ensure he grabs all her things out of the van--unless it was a robbery--at the time the abduction takes place. Not impossible, but seems unlikely to me, IMOO. If Sara had been surprised or intimidated by her abductor and forced out of the van, she probably wouldn't have gathered her things to take with her, as that would be the last thing on her mind. And, how do we explain the locking of the van? To me, this looks like there was some planning involved by someone--not necessarily by Sara. But I'm left with no clues about who did the planning, or why it all took place, or where she is now. And nothing about the situation is one bit comforting. I'm very concerned about this young lady's safety.

Curiosity is a great thing.:findinglink: Here's hoping the FBI agree with you and do something with this case. Maybe we'll see some movement this coming week

Very true; very well said. A van parked in a field while it's still dark is not going to be that noticeable as it begins to grow brighter. It may be midmorning before anyone notices or cares enough to call it in. By then the perp has bought themselves a nice chunk of time.

ETA: The middle of a wheat field though it might seem conspicuous is obviously less noticeable than on the side of the road with the doors open and the motor running. Now that might be located pretty quickly.

BBM If that van was parked on the side of the road doors closed and engine off, imo, most people wouldn't give it a second look.Unless of course they were looking for it. Do we know how far off the road the van was?

In an abduction I'm thinking a second vehicle is involved. Maybe one or two "perps" are involved, so after the stop either she willing or unwillingly drives the van to where it was found then follows the perp(s) back to their vehicle or
she is removed from the van and put in their vehicle while the van is driven to where it's found or
she was never in the van and it was placed there.....any other alternatives?

The van was reportedly found off in the field, near the tree line. It's a few yards from the road, the tree line... enough to make it stand out.

Hunting season is over, right? I wonder if someone called in the van so fast because they were concerned about off season hunting.

Yes, that article that says "it's as if she has just vanished..." would say to me that her bank cards/accounts have not been used. Do you all agree?

I forgot to mention social media sites that have had no activity. The mother's Facebook said authorities were monitoring all communications. If you leave of your own free will you generally don't stop activites you've had in the past, those activities continue: phone use, debit card use, accessing social media to name some.

FindHG, that was such fantastic news to wake up to. :)

I know the FBI is on Sara's case, but I would still really like to see a MSM update. My first real question would be, did the parents and Sara all leave the house at the same time as the last sighting, or did they actually SEE Sara drive away?

As stated in the earlier thread, what if she never actually even got into the van?

Wish we knew for sure, but I seem to recall the impression that her step mom and she were the last to leave and that Sara was seen leaving. I've scoured MSM to confirm it with no luck. 808paradise may help with it, perhaps. Short of that based on the way the search was conducted, I'm assuming that she was seen in the van driving away, near dawn, so fairly dark still. So if anyone had broken into her van or may have messed with it, or was in it to get to her, they may have had the cover of darkness. That's another reason I don't think she ran away. She seems too with it and thoughtful of what she wants in life to have needed the cover of darkness, to me.

Yes, great news, a dear friend shared with me too.

I know we assumed she was seen leaving, but no where does it actually say that. It only says they left the home at the same time.

What time did dad leave the home? Was mom late for anything? These are simple questions that should be cleared.

There is literally no information. Very tight lipped. I know LE has their reasons, but the thoughts that swirl through people's mind should be laid to rest. And why isn't the public being asked for help? This is a LEO daughter. They have every possible resource available, including the public. Use it!
