After more than 800 tips, FBI Special Agent Kieran Ramsay says, they're right where they were the afternoon Abigail vanished. "Everybody has a public life, a private life and a secret life, and in investigations like these we seek to uncover each of those. So we know a lot about her public life, a lot about her private life and we know about her secret life. Sadly, everything we know about her has not given us where she is today," Ramsay said.

Heartbreaking. They have no idea .
Please don't let Abigail be one of the many still missing years later :please:

goodmorning everyone. please let today be the day abigail is brought home, or an arrest is made or some break in the case, please god.

I keep thinking more about that fairly long walk, rather than taking the bus. It does seem a little odd to me why she wasnt on that bus.

This has probably been discussed already. Do we know if she was having any trouble with anyone in school. Like were there any known confrontations or any recent problems with others.

Just from looking at the map, it sure seems like the bus would be the preferred method and wondering if she wanted to avoid being on that bus. There could be other reasons of course like someone mentioned the other day about maybe missing the bus could be a reason. Just seems odd based on how far the walk was.

The family has lived in this home a long time, right?
So she would not have another town full of friends that she was
routinely hanging out with?

I think they have lived in Seabrook. Not sure where else.

IMO they have no idea where Abby is, that doesn't mean that they don't have clues about her disappearance.

it's all in how LE say things.

Pretty much as I thought then. They know nothing. :(

Back a few pages somebody commented that Abby's friends had their FB pages on lockdown. So this evening I decided to take a look.

OMG those young girls have locked nothing down. There are pictures galore and postings that made me blush.

What's wrong with these teeny bopper girls?

Don't they worry their friend is missing and somebody...done it!

Where are the parents. If I could check on them from way up here...

One more thing. Hardly any of them even mentioned Abby and not one of them have her missing poster as their FB Photo. Amazing...friends...

Teens are different. Coping mechanisms are in place and what is a short time to us is a million years to them. The ones who ARE personally deeply affected seem to not be posting IMO or keeping chatter to a minimum and off FB. We don't know what they say to each other at school all day or on other social media sites. Their parents seem engaged with her disappearance and that's as it should bee. They are still just kids and Abby's disappearance will change them in ways they cannot dream of just yet.

A woman who survived an abduction when she was a teen and now works as a child safety advocate has joined the effort to find missing teen Abigail Hernandez. She made a video about Hernandez for an offshoot of the Discovery Channel. Meanwhile, police are still following up on any leads they get.

Alicia Kozakiewicz, who was abducted by an Internet predator in 2002 when she was 13 years old, recently made a video about Hernandez for Investigation Discovery's Crime Feed. The video is about one minute and 47 seconds long. It can be found at investigation.discovery.com/crimefeed/crimefeed-videos/help-find-abigail-hernandez.htm.

What is the FBI referring to her, about her "secret life"? And if they know about it, wouldn't that lead to a suspect?

Good question.

That part of the statement confused me too. It makes it sound like they do think she met with someone, but if they did, wouldn't they be farther along than they were on October 9th? Checking her computer and phone records should give them some clue?

Good question.

It is just like "everyone lies" in investigations. They do, to cover up something they are ashamed of or an affair or whatever. Most of the lies are insignificant as to the investigation. Secret lives are the part you don't share with family or maybe with one friend, anything you might have done you shouldn't. It doesn't mean it would lead to a suspect at all which imo is what he is saying, they know it and they don't have a suspect from it
