Identified! NJ - Camden, Male skeletal remains in trash can, Dec'13 - Adrian Rivera

There seems to be the outline of an outstretched arm wearing something dark too. On the left as you look at the pic?

Since there could be a lot of homeless in the area, do you think that one of them climbed into the trash bin for coverage to sleep and just died of exposure or illness?

Just wanted to add...there is more than one tent city in Camden and the one talked about in the video being moved from Federal Street is back again.
There are also countless people living in boarded up condemned houses, crack houses are everywhere.
Many of the homeless are veterans suffering from mental illness. They can't get benefits because they have no address.

Sadly, It is perfectly with keeping that you would see a person laying on the street or ground. Plenty of homeless there. I don't see anything in those pictures. The problem with Camden is the drug and crime culture is so insidious any attempts to rejuivinate the area quickly gets eroded. It is like trying to prevent a river from flooding a town with piles of sand. Unless you build a dam and artificial waterways to redirect that river it is only a matter of time before the river eats thru that sand.

Police released photos of the bin the body was found in.

Last night was the first I heard of this. I did a little research on the bin and found a "Standard Tallow Co." in Newark NJ. I get the impression that this particular location is closed, out of business or moved location BUT I have NOT confirmed that.
(I didn't know what tallow was and incase you don't either...)

Definition of Tallow- white nearly tasteless solid rendered fat of cattle and sheep used chiefly in soap, candles, and lubricants

Medical Definition of Tallow- the white nearly tasteless solid rendered fat of cattle and sheep which is used chiefly in soap, margarine, candles, and lubricants and of which the form obtained from domestic sheep (Ovis aries) is used in pharmacy in ointments and cerates

Like I said, it was late so I only skimmed through things however what I found interesting is that the UID was on Namus last night but when I went back this morning, I can't seem to find him. Also, I skimmed through MP's and found a male from NJ, last seen wearing gray sweatshirt, white/Hispanic, and no tattoos. I believe his age was 19.
And guess what.. I couldn't find him this morning either. Makes me wonder if POSSIBLY we could be hearing news soon of him being identified? either that or maybe I was delusional. I WAS pretty exhausted lol.
I just wish I would have written down the MP's name for when I came back to it today. Lesson learned

A third suspect has been charged in connection with the death of a Camden man whose remains were found in a bin on the side of Interstate 676 in 2013, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson announced on Tuesday.

LaQuan Shaw, 21, of Camden, is the third man charged with murder in connection with the death of 23-year-old Adrian Rivera. Lashaun Brown-Bunch, 21, of Camden, and a 16-year-old Willingboro boy were each previously charged with murder in the case...

Rivera’s remains were put into a red recycling receptacle and weren’t found until November of 2013 at mile marker 1.6 on I-676.

I went looking for an obituary notice or photo but couldn't find anything. A few more articles that mostly say the same thing over and over.

Investigators suspected the remains were Rivera’s and began collecting evidence even before a state police DNA expert confirmed his identity last month, the prosecutor’s office said.

I think this is the probable cause statement for the murderer's arrest: http://camdencountypros.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Probable-Cause-statement-Brown-Bunch.doc

So a drug dealer is partially ID'd because of his EBT card, according to the probable cause statement above. I will withhold further commentary, as I do not personally pay taxes in New Jersey.

"Drug set"
Is that the new lingo for GANG members?

Is that supposed to make it sound more benign or something?

And DNA

From the Courier Post article:
"Investigators identified Rivera from DNA in blood stains at the murder site; they also recovered a Family First card in the victim's name from a pair of bloody sweatpants, the Prosecutor's Office said."

I thought it was slang for a crack house, only for other drugs, especially the psychedelic ones.

Really? I haven't heard of anyone doing psychedelic around here in a long long time.

I've only heard of "set" or "works" as in needles...

Probably for heroin then. It seems that's made a big surge in the northeast recently.
