NY NY - Ellery, Rte 17, WhtFem 30-37, UP15489 193UFNY, GSW, poss from Canada or Europe, note, clothes, Dec'83

These are AI, aren't they? I'm not a fan of using AI like this, and I'm willing to bet Ellery Jane Doe will end up looking nothing like these images.

(Side note, but they seem to have actually used the Wes Neville reconstruction and put it through some sort of AI filter. See the resemblance between it and one of the AI images?)

Yes, those are AI. The woman who made that one has made a handful of others using the same technique. I don't...love it. You can tell because the hair has a lot really weird, nonsensical artefacts.

I found two short articles about the case:
1) The Buffalo News (Buffalo, New York) · Wed, Dec 7, 1983 · Page 37 - autopsy planned.
2) The Buffalo News (Buffalo, New York) · Thu, Dec 8, 1983 · Page 3 - police working on leads.

The truck stop cited in the 2nd article is quite large.

Reminds me of the Tammy Jo Alexander case, from early Nov. of '79. Similar circumstances, both cases involved I-90, albeit a fair distance away from each other.

What gets me is the time of year, one in Nov., one in Dec. Could be the same killer, maybe traveled through western NY during that time of year for work.

Not to mention the victims were of entirely different ages. But, the killer may have just been targeting women estranged from their loved ones (We know that was the case with Tammy and maybe with this case).

As we all know, if there are two victims, there's a very likely chance there may be more.

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking regarding the note
Style of writing is completely resplendent of Austria or Germany.
Not just the number 7 that is crossed but the style of the number 1 as well.

#7's with the line through it is or used to be also common in certain parts of Canada
source: me - I live here and was taught it in grade school
so there's that Canadian connection again ...

Although some of the mps listed may have been previously suggested, it is a great opportunity to give each of the threads a 'bump', thanks!
