At first I thought this was another non-custodial parent but with the park having crime scene tape???? :( :(:(:(

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Schenectady Police Department activated the New York State AMBER Alert for the investigation of a child abduction that happened near Campbell Avenue and 12th Street in Schenectady. This happened at about 9:15 p.m. on Saturday.

The child is Halo Branton, a Hispanic female that is approximately 10 months old with curly, black hair and hazel eyes.

Activation Date and Time: Sunday, March 10, 2024 - 10:10 AM

The Schenectady Police Department has activated the New York State AMBER Alert and is investigating a child abduction that occurred near Campbell Avenue and 12th Street, in Schenectady at about 9:15 PM on 3/9/2024.

The CHILD, Halo R.M. Branton is a Hispanic female, approximately 10 months old with curly, black hair and hazel eyes. She is approximately 2 feet 0 inches and weighs about 23 pounds. Halo was last seen wearing White sweatpants with brown and tan flowers, long sleeve light pink shirt with a butterfly with writing, white socks.

The CHILD, Halo R.M. Branton is a Hispanic female, approximately 10 months old with curly, black hair and hazel eyes. She is approximately 2 feet 6 inches and weighs about 23 pounds. Halo was last seen wearing White sweatpants with brown and tan flowers, long sleeve light pink shirt with a butterfly with writing, white socks.


The child was taken under circumstances that lead police to believe that they are in imminent danger of serious harm and/or death.

Anyone with any information on this abduction is asked to call the Schenectady Police Department at (866)N Y S-AMBER or dial 911 to provide information on a report or sighting.

Anyone who lives in the area of Campbell Avenue to check any Ring Doorbell cameras or any outside surveillance for a female, possibly wearing black pants and black sneakers, walking in the area with a baby under a blanket after 9:00pm on Saturday, March 9, 2024.

Police are searching for a 1-year-old baby who was reported missing overnight.

However, city police could be seen putting police tape up at the entrance to Hillhurst Park, which is in the city's Bellevue neighborhood. State Forest Rangers cars were also present near the park.
Noting:
  • ... a woman, possibly wearing black pants and black sneakers, walking in the area with a baby under a blanket after 9 p.m. Saturday.
  • The alert was issued Sunday at 10:10 a.m.
  • Halo is just shy of a year old - her birthday is April 14.
An Amber Alert has been issued for a 10-month-old baby.
She was wearing white sweatpants with brown and tan flowers, a long sleeve, light pink shirt with a butterfly design and had a Minnie Mouse blanket.
