That's one of the problems. Sovereign nation and all. They don't much care for the White man intruding on their territory.

I understand. I lived a large part of my life in New Mexico. That's why I thought his mother should do it, but no one else. It's a delicate situation that has to be handled carefully to get cooperation.

Okay, not really understanding here - by sovereign nation are you saying that this has its own government, law enforcement of their own. Am not getting the implications of what is being referred to ... does this mean that if Jason is on the nation, that it will be difficult to get cooperation to find him? If so, this makes this all he harder to find him.

Yes, they have their own law enforcement, laws, courts, everything. They are also very protective of their tribe members and don't care for outsiders too much.

It says on the missing poster that he was seen last in August, but that he had signed into his social network site in September. When was the last time someone talked and/or texted with him?

Ft. Covington is not on the reservation, it is a small village nearby and the res is on the NY/Canadian border and has land rights in both countries. I don't know how much difficulty Jason's mom would have by contacting the tribal leaders and/or law enforcement. The res is open to travelers/visitors. I have never had any trouble while in the area. I do know that there is animosity between the tribe and state government as well as border control. I don't think there is a big beef between NY locals and the tribe, seems to be mostly political head-butting.

Interesting insofar as my maternal relatives were born and part of the ST.Regis Indian Reservation, but it's far too long ago to be of any help today. Most of them are long gone. Yes, it's the NY/Canadian border nearing Quebec as I recall.

Are the Abnaki and Huron tribes also on St. Regis Reservation?

I didn't know they also have gambling up there, as in the Southwest of the U.S.
Some tribes here do not allow it, such as the Hopis in New Mexico.
But many do in this State of Arizona.

i noticed that there are references to the "juggalos" and the tatoos seem to represent the juggalo theme... all im getting at is that it seems there would be a group of friends also involved in this way of life, have they been questioned? when is the last time his friends saw him and where?

the last known contact with jason was on august 29,2010 and his my space account was august21,2010 every 2 weeks someone got on and when i stated i would report to police he was missing he never got back on
