GUILTY OH - Patsy Hudson, 62, Mansfield, 4 July 2015

It's possible she didn't want any contact with her family and had told them so. Maybe there was a quarrel on July 4. With Christmas approaching they might have tried to re-connect but were not able to reach her. It was said that she it was not unlike her to keep to herself (or something similar), the family might have only tried to respect that.

But the questions Tillicum is asking are very important. If rent and utilities were paid up to a certain point in time a more precise date when she went missing might be established. Unless it was all automatically paid through the bank, then it won't tell us much.

Also, what someone else asked earlier - what about her mail? Did the postman not notice a full letter box?

I see what you are saying and agree in some cases, but think the timing is too far off. The IUD was found in March and time of death was estimated to be 6 months. So that would mean Patsy was missing since Fall 2014. Also July 4 is a pretty specific date. People would be more likely to remember what they did on a holiday - maybe the family got together for a BBQ that day or saw her at fireworks in town - something along those lines. Since the family reported her missing right before Christmas, wouldn't they have noticed if she was missing for Christmas 2014, too? IMO

However, it certainly wouldn't hurt to contact the detective and see what he has to say.

Thank you! That article had a little more specific information than what I read.

Although, Ms. Hudson is known to keep to herself, there
has been no known personal contact with her since July of 2015.

Missing woman's family, neighbors want answers

Patsy Hudson's neighbors on Spring Street want answers about what happened to the reclusive woman, and so does her only son.

Hudson's son, Lonnie Clevenger of Galion, said Monday he has no idea what happened to his mother, who naturally kept to herself. A truck driver, Clevenger said he and family members stopped by her house, but they thought they were just missing her while she was out running errands.

"I thought maybe she went to church," he said. "I stopped by the weekend before her birthday on Aug. 9," Clevenger said, but there was no one home.

"She rarely went anywhere except to get groceries," he said. "And to the Dollar Store for milk and eggs."

A nationwide search is under way for two of the missing woman's neighbors who authorities believe might be linked to the disappearance of Hudson, 62, who has not been seen since July 4. That day she was involved in a dispute with a one of those neighbors over her cats, according to Mansfield Municipal Court documents obtained by the News Journal.

Mansfield police Chief Ken Coontz declined to comment on residents' questions about the case.

Another neighbor, Steve Au, said Mansfield police detectives had search dogs last week in the neighborhood. Authorities were carrying crowbars, too, he said. Au said a city of Mansfield Water Department truck also was on the scene.

His son, Treven Au, watched last week as authorities removed items from Hudson's residence, and from a next-door neighbor's house at 290 Spring St.

"They (police) didn't do nothing until her sister came over here and talked to a neighbor," Treven Au said. The sister, Patricia Rentz, filed a missing persons report on Dec. 22, and police issued a press release about Hudson being missing Jan. 12.
[...]
Wayne Liggett, a Plymouth police officer, said he was staying at his uncle's on Spring Street, caring for him. He called police on Aug. 11 to report Hudson had not been seen for multiple weeks, a gate was open, a strange odor was coming from the house and the mail was piling up.

Liggett, who went inside Hudson's house with police when they responded to his Aug.11 call, said fleas were eating everyone up while they inside.

"A neighbor told me the couple next door dumped the biggest majority of her cats, but she still had a few there," Liggett said.

"She had a love/hate relationship with the couple (at 294 Spring St.)," Liggett said of the couple who authorities believe are linked to Hudson's disappearance.
[...]
She worked three jobs to support me. My mom used to buy 50 pounds of potatoes and flour and we could eat all month off of them," Clevenger said. "We canned everything. We never had store-bought bread. She made our bread. She was a good mother."

When he was in third grade, Clevenger and his mom moved from Galion to Mansfield. She worked as a waitress and bartender and also at a factory. Her son said his mom dropped out of school when she was pregnant with him. Her first husband died. She remarried, but later was divorced.

Clevenger said he has no idea what has happened to her.

"She kept a pretty clean house. But that place was a mess," he said of his visit around Christmas Eve.

Clevenger said he last talked to his mom in June.

"She was telling me some of her cats were sick and she thought someone was poisoning them," he said.

IMO: if she loved cats/animals that much, which she obviously did, there is no way she would just walk away and leave them to fend for themselves. Everything points to foul play. Hopefully they find this couple and get some answers soon

(I saw that LOS has posted right before me so I deleted some info that is up above)

Here is the article about the couple LE is looking for

MANSFIELD - A nationwide search has begun for two Mansfield residents who might be linked to a missing neighbor who has not been seen since July 4, the day she was involved in a dispute with a neighbor over her cats, according to documents obtained by the News Journal.

A police report was filed that day regarding the dispute with the woman, Patsy Hudson, 62, of 284 Spring St., and her neighbor at 290 Spring St.

Mansfield police searched last Wednesday at her house and the neighbor's house, where a Walter T, Renz and his girlfriend Cara (unknown last name) allegedly were seen moving out with their belongings on July 4, according to documents filed Jan. 27 at Mansfield Municipal Court.

Mmh. She had a dispute with those neighbors on July 4, and they were seen moving out on July 4. Would they really be so dumb to kill her, dump her body somewhere far and remote, then immediately pack up their things and leave?

But I agree with what someone above said, it does look like foul play or maybe an accident. She would never leave those animals alone, especially since some of them were ill.

According to the search warrant, Mansfield police detectives have learned Social Security checks still are going into Hudson's account at Chase Bank and ATM withdrawals have been made to take money out of her account across the country. Also, it was discovered someone is paying a Verizon cellphone bill using Hudson's debit card. However, Hudson did not have a cellphone.

Hopefully it won't be long before they find them. Someone is clearly using her bank account and paying their phone bill from it too. Despicable. Poor Patsy. It seems she's worked real hard all her life bringing up her son. Probably just wanted to live peacefully with her cats although I think with 67 of them, the situation had got a little out of control. No need for anyone to take matters into their own hands about it though. She will have been devastated when they started becoming ill.

An alleged dispute between neighbors over cats has now turned into a nationwide search for a 62-year-old woman and two others.

Police say the woman, Patsy Hudson, has not been seen since July 4, the day of the dispute with her two neighbors. Her neighbors also moved out on that date and have not been seen since.

Search for missing Mansfield woman and her neighbors continues: Columbus News Roundup

The search continues for a missing Mansfield woman and her next-door neighbors.

Police are revealing little about the disappearance of Patsy Hudson, 62, last seen in July 2015, or the search for her two neighbors - Walter Renz and a woman named Cara - who haven't been seen in nearly as long, WSYX-TV in Columbus reported.

Last week, investigators executed search warrants at both houses looking for Patsy Hudson's body or evidence of kidnapping or murder, WCMH-TV in Columbus reported. They collected various bits of possible evidence including toothbrushes, cigarette butts, a nightgown and chair coverings, but did not find Patsy Hudson.

In the search warrant affidavits, investigators say Hudson's Social Security payments are still going into her bank account and that "ATM transactions all over the country have been made to take money out of her account," WCMH reported.

Another neighbor, Mark Clever, told WCMH he hopes they find Hudson alive but he's losing hope.

"I think they probably took her with them," Clever said. "They got her. That's what I think. She was nice, didn't bother nobody, kept to herself, couldn't ask for a better neighbor than her."

Federal agents in Tennessee captured two people wanted by Mansfield police for questioning in the July disappearance of a local woman, Police Chief Ken Coontz confirmed Thursday night.

Patsy Hudson, 62, of 284 Spring St., has not been seen since July 4, the same day Renz and his girlfriend allegedly were seen moving out of 290 Spring St. with their belongings, according to search warrants filed in Mansfield Municipal Court. Hudson also filed a police report July 4 claiming two of her many cats had been poisoned.

Mansfield police said Walter Renz, 53, and Linda Buckner/Blehar, 57, who has numerous aliases, were arrested in Lewis County, Tennessee, by a U.S. Marshals Task Force at a roadside campground southwest of Nashville. Coontz said the couple was arrested without incident and found near a stolen vehicle.

Hudson is still missing and police have no new information about where she is located, although Coontz said her credit card has been active for several months.

Renz is being held on a receiving stolen property warrant for using Hudson's credit card. Buckner/Blehar is being held on a parole violation from Kentucky.

Hudson was known for being reclusive and rarely leaving her home. Although police checked her house to look for her in August, a missing persons report was not filed until Dec. 22 when her sister became concerned. Police then executed search warrants to look for Hudson's body last week.

Records from the Kentucky Department of Corrections show Linda Blehar was sentenced to two years in prison for bail jumping and served time in Hardin County, Kentucky, from July 2008 through January 2010.

Several aliases are listed for Buckner on the Kentucky Department of Corrections website, including Sue Atkisson, Linda Blehar, Linda Sue Blehar, Linda S. Buckner and Linda Sue Kettrey.

I am so glad to see they have arrested these two. Now, maybe we will be able to find out what happened to Patsy.
