OMG what is going on? Did this man kill two people so he could hide in their house with his kidnapped daughter or something?!? Or is this totally unrelated?? :scared:

I'm really confused too and wondering if this is the same case. I wouldn't call a 15-year-old a woman as is being referenced as escaping from the house.

ASHLAND - Authorities said they have found the remains of two bodies in a house on Covert Court, during a short press conference Tuesday afternoon.
Ashland County coroner Dale R. Thomae said he did not know yet the sex of the two victims, and was unsure how long it would take to make an identification.
A woman also was found alive inside the house.
Thomae or police chief Dave Marcelli only took a few questions during the press conference

Ashland police and members of the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation have been present at 365 Covert Court and a nearby laundromat since this morning. The Covert Court house is owned by Pump House Ministries.
According to an earlier news release from the Ashland Police Department, local police along with the Ashland County Sheriff's Office, the Ashland County Prosecutor's Office and BCI are investigating an incident that took place Tuesday at 6:40 a.m.

In the press conference they stated this residence was where the amber alert victim and dad were staying last night. So yes, the two cases are probably related.

The press conference sound was terrible though - so they could have said Not Related and been referring to the victim that was found alive at the house. IDK - I've listened to it twice now.

I listened to the press conference and I'm STILL confused but I'm learning toward it being related to another abduction case in the area.
First, he says they found an abducted WOMAN (not teen) alive at the house.
Second, it sounds like he says "this press conference is to dispel rumors that this has anything to do with the amber alert"
Third, after the ME speaks, a man in the back starts yelling something about his relative named "stacy" being abducted and how he wants information....

So I'm still up in the air on if this is related but are their any missing women named Stacy near there?

Okay, perfect - I can hear him better, police chief says they are holding this Presser to dispel any rumors that this relates to the amber alert case . Can a mod move these posts over to a new thread? This link has the victims name Stacey Stanley.

But it seems there is more in this case than only a child abduction (which was clarified well).

I wonder if by finding the 3 other bodies if we will be able so match them to some other known open cases.

Video cuts into the judge saying "that is a felony in the 4th degree" (I'm assuming this is the kidnapping charge)
The Judges say he had a prior charge on August 30th for possession of drug paraphernalia (a misdemeanor in the 4th degree punishable for 30 days in jail/$250 fine) and he failed to show up for court on that charge. Judge asks him how he pleas to Aug 30 case first. Roberts says, "not guilty".
Judge asks if he has an attorney and Roberts replies "no, sir."
Judge asks "how do you support yourself?" Roberts' reply is unintelligible.
Judge asks "do you have any assets?" Roberts' says "no" then he says something else I can't understand. (there is echo and he has a heavy accent)
Judge says he will appoint an attorney and sets bond at $25,000.
Roberts starts to say something that sounds like he is objecting to the bond/saying he didn't do anything wrong but I can't understand a word he is saying..Judge interrupts and says "I suggest you do not make any statements, I have made my ruling about the bond."
