OH OH - Zaden McKnight, 4, & mom Nichelle, 25 (fnd dec'd), Dayton, 29 March 2014

Theft suspect’s possible connection to missing mother, son

Officers said a search warrant of Antwan Anderson’s cell phone records, revealed a conversation between him and Harris regarding the victim’s debit card and her personal pin.

According to a Dayton police incident report, Anderson told Harris to use Nichelle’s card to “attempt to get $500, but if not, to try $300.” Officers said Harris responded that she was “up $800″ and asked if she should keep going. Anderson said yes and warned Harris to “be safe and be smart”.

According to the police report, Harris went to three different area Walmart stores, made small purchases and then withdrew the maximum amount of cash totaling $2,768.15.

Officers said Nichelle noticed the suspicious activity on her account and told Anderson.

The next day, March 25, is when she disappeared.

This breaks my heart. Still praying he is safe and found soon.

Found out yesterday a relative worked with Nichelle. She is in the process of moving to AZ or I'd ask more as the LE did interview her in regards to Nichelle.

I was born and raised about 10 miles from this area. I remember the rivers flow terribly fast when it rains. Zaden's little body could be miles away by now, sadly.

Search continues for missing boy; Vigil held for mom

Zaden's body hasn't been located and police said there was no evidence to indicate it was near his mother. They do not believe he is alive. High water and rain have prevented officers from using boats and other means to check the river. Since Friday, Dayton Lt. Wendy Stiver said, investigators have been using technology, such as cell phone GPS locators, to identify potential search areas. While the search "isn't as visual," she said the hunt for Zaden is ongoing.

How sad that these two sorry lowlifes put such a small value on two lives.

Police believe missing mother, son killed in Dayton basement

In that document, marked April 14th, it states that homicide detectives searched the home at 23 Birchwood Avenue. It is where Tonisha Harris, 29, lives.

During the execution of that search warrant, blood was found, along with the shoes McKnight was wearing when she and her son were reported missing on March 25.

Affidavit

According to an affidavit signed by Dayton Police Detective Rob Roberts, police found blood evidence in the basement basement of Tonisha Harris. Roberts says police also found the shoes that Nichelle McKnight was wearing when she was reported missing, McKnight's driver's license, bank cards and the Social Security cards for McKnight and her 4-year-old son, Zaden.

Tonisha Harris Arraigned; Bond Set at $10,000

Really??! $10K bond? Sounds like Nichelle, and possibly her child, were killed in this woman's basement. But only a $10K bond? Disgusting!!

I'm so angry. The only person still alive, Tonisha Harris, owns the house where the murders were committed. She supposedly only knew Nichelle's ex-boyfriend, Antwon Anderson, for a WEEK and yet she was willing to help him steal Nichelle's money AND murder Nichelle and Zaden. How convenient that the only other person she can point the finger at killed himself. I'm sure she'll spin some sob story that he MADE her do this and that she had nothing to do with the murders. Prison is too good for her.

I wonder if it's because she hasn't been charged in connection with their deaths? Woman linked to McKnight murder arraigned on theft charges

Probably. But why hasn't she been charged in connection with their deaths? This document was filed on April 14 and they already knew about the blood evidence at that time and believed the murders happened in her basement. http://wx.wdtn.com/documents/Birchwood-affidavit.pdf

They had plenty of reason to believe before today's arraignment that Nichelle and her son were killed in this woman's house. That makes her an accomplice at the very least. But they only charge her with theft? :cursing: With a puny little $10K bond I wouldn't doubt that she will bond out before they even charge her with anything else. And when she does I would bet that she has no intentions of making her May 1 appearance.

In the meantime a little boy is out there somewhere and needs to be found. Someone needs to pay for his mom's murder, and his if he's no longer alive. How convenient for this woman that her accomplice chose to kill himself and can't even dispute any story she might make up to explain how they were killed in HER house!

I don't think she's going to be getting out any time soon. She's part of Nichelle's & Zaden's deaths no matter who pulled the trigger. It was a plan to steal from Nichelle thought out by the two of them. Most likely Nichelle's and Zaden's deaths will show a plan also. It was in her basement sooo....I'd say she's pretty much involved.

Any locals know if they are still doing searches on the river(s)?
