Glad to hear they made an arrest so quickly in this case. I still wonder how on earth two ladies out with family for a night on the town end up dead and dumped on the side of the road. The news interview with Angela Bassett's 11 year old son is just heartbreaking.

Found a Eric Lee Phillips with an address near where the news reported one of the search warrants was served. Has some domestic violence in his far past, but that's all I found so far - nothing I can find linking these two to the two mothers that were killed.
 
One of the men taken into custody -- identified as 52-year-old Tony Alton Hall -- has been booked into the Tulsa County Jail on a complaint of accessory to murder after the fact. The other man who police say is Eric Phillips, is expected to be booked on two counts of first-degree murder later tonight.

Hall told them he met the two women at a bar and took both to Phillips' home. He then left, but was later contacted by Philllips and asked to come back to the home.

He said when he got there, he found the two women, bound and deceased. He says he helped Phillips move the bodies from the residence and later dump them along 56th Street North.

Thanks for the welcome! I always search for stuff online and try to piece things together so this is nice to have somewhere to share and see what other "sleuthers" come up with!

I know, it's so sad. They've not had perfect lives, but they certainly didn't deserve to be killed and dumped like that. I really wonder what happened and if these guys were just strangers they met at the bar or if it's more complicated than that.

According to an arrest report, Bassett and Hargrove were together at a bar Monday night. Witnesses heard the women say "Tony" was going to pick them up. Investigators learned that "Tony" was Tony Hall, so they went to his house, and found several blue tarps in the front yard, similar to the tarp used to cover the victims.

The arrest report says Hall admitted picking up the women from Cy's bar Monday night.

The way the case is shaping up is that one or both of the women knew Tony Hall. The last time friends heard from them, they were waiting for a ride home from the bar with Tony on Monday night.

Hall is claiming he dropped them off with Eric Phillips then was called back to help dispose of the bodies. Blue tarps and ropes matching the ones found at the crime scene were found at Hall's residence 7300 E. Marshall.

www.oscn.net shows Hall has an extensive record. Angela Barrett has a record, too. I found nothing on Angela Hargrove, but one photo does look to be a mug shot.

Sound like Tony threw his buddy under the bus. I'd be interested to hear Eric's side.

Obviously, LE believes Tony's story if you look at the charges they have filed. (I think there is much more to the story involving Tony.)

I keep trying to figure out why Tony dropped the women off at Eric's house. If he bothered to come to the bar to pick them up, why would he just take them there and leave? To me, this points to either a drug deal or the women went to Eric's because there was a romantic relationship. (If the women went to Eric's willingly, that is.)
 
Eric has been involved in an ongoing criminal case recently. His last court filing was 10-17-07. He was charged with Endeavoring to Manufacture Controlled Drug, Poss. of Firearm While in Commission of a Felony, ABDOM Domestic Assault and Battery by STRANGULATION, ABDOM Assault and Battery-Domestic (count 4). They were filed on 4-20-07.

He was married to Cheryl Lynn Lawrence in 2002. No divorce has been filed.

Domestic Abuse charge on 11-18-88 which was dismissed for failure to appear for both parties. (Lisa Glassco was the plaintiff.)

7-10-07 Citifinancial Services Inc. filed for Foreclosure against Cheryl and Eric Phillips.

I saw that his address was updated in April but couldn't find why. Didn't see the charges - good find.

Sounds like a meth lab. Wonder if his wife was the victim of the strangulation - or if it was one of these two women. Would be crazy for them to go back to his house if it was one of the Angelas - but crazier things have happened.

So strange that the husband got thrown in jail while all this happened.
