Honored Othram could assist Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office in identifying a 1985 homicide victim as Terry Ketron. Now, investigators are now working to identify who murdered him. Massive thanks to RTI, NamUs, and the NIJ for funding the case!

However, through advancements in Forensic Investigative Genetic Genealogy, the man's name was revealed: Terry Ketron. He traveled from Kentucky to Florida in the early 1980's with a "female companion" named Connie or Bonnie with an unknown last name, the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office (PBSO) announced.

Heres a list of all 144 announcements.

Edit. This list is LONGGGGG. Im going to make a separate thread, so it doesn't flood most of the page here.

Can you take on the case of "Mr Bones," the man found deceased in October 1958 near Bedford, PA? He was found with a Remington rifle, camping equipment, books, and had contact lenses and gold dental work.

In 1977, an unidentified man was found on Enders Road in Granby, CT. Despite distinctive features and scars, his identity remains a mystery. With advanced DNA technology, we have a chance to finally learn his story.
  • Found: 1977, Granby, Connecticut
  • Description: Male, 18-30 years, 5’7”, 140 lbs, brown eyes, long brown/black hair, mustache, goatee.
  • NamUs ID: UP10037
Help us fund the case. Spread the word. Someone, somewhere knows something.

Please see if this case is a possibility for your waiting list. An unidentified teenage boy, bone(s) found in 1997 in New Jersey. This case has had very little attention:

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office over the years exhausted all traditional DNA testing methods without finding the name of the victim, whose death was ruled a homicide after his remains were found in 1985. After sending evidence to Othram — a company that performs forensic genetic genealogy and DNA sequencing for law enforcement — in April 2022, the victim was identified as Terry Ketron.

Ketron, originally from Campbell County in Kentucky, traveled to South Florida some time in the early 1980s with a girlfriend, and the last time his relatives heard from him, he expressed they were having problems, the Sheriff’s Office and Othram said in recent news releases. Now that he has been identified, the Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help identify the woman in the photo with Ketron, Barbera said.
