PA PA - Kortne Ciera Stouffer, 21, Palmyra, 29 July 2012 - #1

I did read in a news article last week that her car had been impounded by the police.

Being local, I still don't understand the lack of media coverage. I have a daughter Kortne's age which may be why this strikes a nerve with me. The town Kortne lives in is not far from two major interstates- I81 and I78- as well as Harrisburg, the capital of Pennsylvania. But Palmyra is not a hub of illegal activity- it is a quiet town. If a young woman can disappear there, it can happen anywhere!

Not getting the sense this is a random or stranger situation

No local scuttlebutt?

Google 'come home t-shirts kortne stouffer' Facebook. Talking about the case.

I had read that as well. I also am local ( I live 25 minutes away if that) I used to live in Hershey and I agree this is not a crime town. I also don't think this was by a stranger unless she allowed a stranger to drive her home with someone following to get that person ( the whole, don't leave a car behind move). I'm not sure if some clubs are allowed to be open past 2am, if not, then I think they may have gone to breakfast or something. Now they need to find that restaurant. IMO

I watched the local news tonight at both 5 and 6 and not one word about Kortne. I saw one missing flyer in a local grocery store and was in a local truck stop on I78 tonight and saw no information about her. Have not heard much locally at all!

So she was seen back at her apartment after being out at a bar? By whom?
If they think something happened to her at her apartment, why are they just searching now?

The search warrant police issued on her Palmyra apartment is sealed. That was news to her family, who returned to Kortne's apartment with police by their side.

snipped- She also has a boyfriend, who her family does not believe is involved in her disappearance. He is reportedly on house arrest for a DUI charge.

this b.f. thing is really bothering me- if he was on house arrest, how was he not at 'home' over the weekend, as was stated earlier???

snipped -Scott Stouffer said that one of the dogs belonged to his daughter and the other to her boyfriend, Bradley, who was not at the home last weekend.

Just speculation, but could the boyfriend have weekend "obligations" due to his DUI? I know sometimes if you have to serve time because of a DUI it can be done during multiple weekends as to not interrupt the work week.

Thats interesting!
Would he have an ankel bracelet on?
Maybe he was at his parents?

Well i think BF was gone and he took his dog with him maybe he was at his parents house.

Her dog was there i believe!

Someone must have followed her.....

Sorry it took me so long to find these articles. They won't come up in simple searches for some reason, but I remembered seeing them earlier.

A next-door neighbor who asked not to be identified said she last saw Stouffer on Saturday afternoon. The neighbor said Stouffer lived at the apartment with a boyfriend and kept late hours, a situation that created friction with their downstairs neighbor.

Neighbors saw Kortne come home around 3:45 a.m. Sunday, but that's the last time anyone saw her.

I believe that the boyfriend is completely in the clear on this one.

I think so too but where was he?
Im thinking his parents if he was under house arrest!

I'm starting to wonder if there's an ex-boyfriend in the picture.

Yes, interesting, Sresh:

Attorney Rominger, nationally known for his representation of Jerry Sandusky, has undertaken this matter to help return Kortne to her family.
