PA PA - Michelle Jolene Lakey, 11, Scranton, 26 Aug 1986

A known child killer Frank Osellanie, has admitted that he knew Jolene and used to give her rides home, so there's really no doubt that he killed her. He could have put her body just about anywhere, though, so it's hard to see this case getting solved unless he confesses.

When I read about this case I felt sad... such a little girl going alone to see her mother in the hospital... running dangers without considering the consequences and in the end it was for the worse... another good girl went to heaven... .
a hug beautiful little one
rest in peace

Keystone Cold Cases just released an episode about Michelle's disappearance.
It made me sad listening to how horrible Michelle's childhood was.
After visiting her mother in a Scranton hospital, Michelle Jolene Lakey began her walk home with the intent of returning to visit her mother again before spending the night at her friend's house. One block from her home, witnesses saw her speaking with someone in a yellow car, which she then got in. Michelle never made it home and has not been seen or heard from since. Did Michelle fall victim to the same suspect, making her one of the Scranton 5?

About this yellow car. It's possible it wasn't his, but rather one in his shop for the day/s before her disappearance. Maybe the shop kept records to find the owner, search from that point, and find the car. Or a DMV search of yellow cars in the surrounding zip codes. If that car is still in a junk lot, there's a chance to find evidence Jolene was in it. At the very least they could interview the owner and see if there was anything "off" when he/she got it back.
