Your right. I must have just forgotten about it. Here is the thread and some of the posts in discussing it. It was dismissed as hearsay ---the person reporting this was told by another reporter at the scene.

Ohhhh! I remember that now! Geez, that was so unreliable. If that's what they're basing it on, they're really grasping at straws, IMO.

Thanks for looking that up, hollyblue.

Thanks for researching this....it was posted before I became a WS'er....that's why I didn't remember seeing it!!

Today I was searching for something else and came across the article...and the quote about 'another man' just jumped out at me due to today's report of his lawyers saying Joran had an accomplice.

Sorry for re-hashing old news!! :ashamed0005: :HBwhiteflag:

FLNY... no need to apologize at all. The report was so inconsequential at the time that I'd completely forgotten about it. So I'm glad you searched it out and brought it to our attention again since the third person defense has been introduced. It was good sleuthing! :blowkiss:

Yes, no need for apologies nor the re-hashing of old news. It's good to refresh our memories. News and posts at that time were literally flying and it was hard to keep up and post at the same time. You did great in sleuthing this out and bring it to our attention again...it maybe where "some" got the idea for 3rd party defense. Now is there truly another video or part of one that shows this? I too noticed in searching for this, that there was a claimed video of his leaving the hotel in SF's car....but we have never seen that either.

Thanks FLNY. Good job.

I'm pretty sure there is a video of where she parked the car. Amongst the second (I believe) set of crime scene photos released by radaronline was a photo of a PLE diagrammatic of the exact position of her car, and it had 'balloons' with arrows showing that Stephany exited the driver door, and Joran exited the passenger door. It may have even said who got out first. I have not been able to find that picture for weeks. Looking at the front of the hotel, it showed the car parked facing straight in about 1/3 of the way between the front door and the right hand side of the bldg. At that hour it must have been a camera that provided the details. Does anyone else remember seeing this?

This is interesting. When I went to Central AZ to search the article of Tacopina's statement re: EG, it not there. Last article with his name present was June 4th.

BROUGHT TO URUGUAY
.
Joseph Tacopina , foreign supporter of the Dutchman, said in statements to the portal Central Az the accomplice of Van der Sloot would be this close friend, the Uruguayan citizen Elton Garcia.

Yeah, I find this most 'interesting' as well - but certainly NOT surprising. I saw this coming from the moment she opened her mouth regarding this case. For five years she's done everything she could to dispel any negative reports of his psychological 'problems'. But now that it may prove beneficial, she's shouting it from the rooftops. And while STILL maintaining that he wasn't responsible for Natalee's 'disappearance', mind you. She's a real piece of... work! :furious: Is it any wonder he turned out the way he has?

Absolutely not. When a mother still refers to self as 'mommy' in talking to her son, well it's enough to
It tells me they didn't let him grow up, coddled him and protected him from all adversity and maybe there was a reason for that, like his explosive episodes...for intelligent people, he sure was not handled and taught well at all.

Good sleuthing, FLNY. How did we miss that?

Now to figure out how it all falls together? I wish I weren't feeling a little nervous about it.

Here is an article of E Garcia from the translation thread:

I don't recall ever seein a video or actual photo of where the car was parked. But this schematic was published by ROL in the 'Official Police File' as image #4:

Yes, thanks that is it. I can't read all of it through the ROL overlay, but it appears to be detailed. My first thought when I saw it was that there must have been a cam there. I suppose a security guy could have witnessed it and told LE, but I'm betting they had cameras outside in that area. I also suspect there was a camera in the lobby pointed at the front door(working?-I don't know) that would have shown them entering. That's the second most popular site for a cam after the cash till area.

For some reason they are holding back lots of video for now IMO.

The text to the right of the drawing translates what's in each of the three boxes in the drawing.

Suzihawk and HollyBlue:

Thanks for your kind words and encouragement! There are so many inconsistencies in this case that it just makes me want to keep searching for some fact that seems reliable....haven't found one yet!! But that won't stop me...LOL!! :blushing: :blushing:

Here are pictures I found of Elton Garcia in the comments section of your TalkLeft link:

EG is a good looking man, no? Media say he is 35, but a registration for the tournament stated he was born in 1970, making him 40....but who knows. I wanted to note this from the article also:

In the police file it seems that one of his fellow poker players, Elton Garcia, has all the papers of an American federal agent with him.

Here's a twist to EG story, the comments are interesting as well. One has SF's car being found at addy of her boyfriend and notes that she was not lesbian.

This is from an article on June 1, before they found Stephany's body. When police found her car, her father thought she had been kidnapped:

"Neighbors of the passage Jorge Chavez in the Surco district of Lima where it was found abandoned [her] truck told police that Ramirez Flores Stephany usually visit this place every weekend and always picks up a young man who was [her] partner."

Maybe this guy was a gambling buddy and not a boyfriend....haven't seen any mention of this since then....of course, with the poor translation, maybe it should read 'picks up a young woman'....who knows??!!?? :waitasec:

Again, no mention of this in later news reports.
